Sorry for the lateness in the tips today – we were working on the golf tips and it took us all day.
It was a tricky day as we were crunching a lot of data related to the LPGA and also following the whole “missing clubs” saga where the airline lost a lot of their clubs. What a mess that was.
The PGA was also tricky with Rory playing. Always is.
But we’re good now, and we have three golf betting tournaments to tip for you:
Honda LPGA Thailand 2015 Betting Tips:
We’ve got quite a lot of tips for the fourth tournament in the 2015 LPGA Season.
The 17 year old Lydia Ko is not playing, so the odds on Inbee Park and Stacy Lewis are brutally low and we will be avoiding both of them. Pity as both are contenders but both have struggled this season. It could be with Lydia out they find that extra motivation but at 5/1 and 8/1 it’s not worth that particular gamble.
First up. Quarter Unit on Amy Yang E/W at 18/1. Yang is a very consistent golfer, and has already did well this season finishing in the top 5 twice. We are slightly concerned that she is playing one tournament so soon after the other – she doesn’t fare well often in the second one but we are going to take the risk. Only a quarter unit as mentioned though.
We also like Ariya Jutanugarn. She’s coming into this probably as the hottest golfer form wise, and also came 2nd here a couple of years ago. At 14/1, she’s a nice price.
We’re also betting on So Yeon Ryu based more on course history, as opposed to current form.
We also have a few long shot bets if you want them. We’d recommend:
35/1: Lexi Thompson
66/1: Gerina Piller
100/1: Yani Tseng
Joburg Open Betting Tips:
Another co-sanctioned event in the European Tour. Bloody sick of these!
We’re just going with the one bet which is Thomas Aiken at 18/1. He’s got a great course history and is a nice price.
Honda Classic 2015 Betting Tips:
McIlroy is playing, which means everyone else is a ridiculous price. McIlroy is 7/2 and the 2nd place by odds is Dustin Johnson at 16/1. He’s worth a bet at that price based on current form honestly.
Our main tips are Keegan Bradley, Luke Donald and Justin Rose.
Bradley is 25/1 and we’re on him with a small bet. Up to you if you want to bet a quarter or a half of what you would normally bet. Coming in after a good finish at the Northern Trust, he is worth the bet here.
We also like Justin Rose. 22/1 now but he started out at 30/1. The money is moving on him and his course form is tremendous.
Finally with Luke Donald – 80/1 is the price and that’s huge but worth a quarter unit bet. Honestly if he got a Top 5 finish it would not shock us even slightly. Just like him not making the cut wouldn’t surprise us either.
