A 2-1 record last night.

We took the over in the Pelicans/Pacers game. That bet was basically on the Pelicans to control the offense flow of the game and that’s exactly what they did in their 124-117 win. The amazing thing about this one? Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson both sat out. Jrue Holiday proved why he was so desired at the deadline as he finished with 31 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds.

The Mavericks started their game with a 31-10 first quarter and that’s all you need to know about this one. A 21-point first quarter lead will carry you a long way and it carried the Mavs all the way here. Seth Curry led the way with 26 points in 28 minutes.

Sometimes teams end their losing streaks in ways where it seems impossible for them to have lost. That’s what happens with the Wolves last night against their game against the Clippers. They scored 81 points in the first half as they simply couldn’t miss. They made 26 of 44 three-pointers in the game for 59% from deep. If you shoot that well, you are going to win.

A pretty good slate today with some early games. The game of the night is probably the Jazz facing the Rockets in an absolute style clash. I don’t have a pick on that one, but we do have two picks for you. They are both one unit plays and can be found below.

Memphis Grizzlies at Washington Wizards Betting Tips:

The Grizzlies are great and they’ve been very good when favored this season. They have a 10-4 record as a favorite (straight up and against the spread) and I see no reason that doesn’t continue here.

One crazy Grizzlies stat that I came up with in my research is the Grizzlies have a 2-1 record when playing their second consecutive road game. That’s really impressive considering how they started early this season. This team is just plain good.

Miami Heat at Portland Trail Blazers Betting Tips:

I was all set to take Miami in this one as the team has really improved themselves to become one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, but then I got a good look at the injury report and it scared me right off. No Andre Iguodala or Jimmy Butler, Jae Crowder is listed as questionable, and Tyler Herro is doubtful. That’s a lot of potential offense that is going to be missing.

While the Blazers injury sheet isn’t pretty, I think we’ve all learned by now that there is only one name that matters on it: Damian Lillard. The stuff he has been doing to carry this team to the playoffs is beyond impressive. They’ve done a great job at home of late as well, winning four straight in Portland and five out of their past six.

Miami on the season has been less than impressive on the road with a 12-14 record. That’s really bad considering how good they have been at home and on a night without Butler, that could prove fateful for them.
