A 1-1 day for a profit due to unit sizing in the Bundesliga yesterday.
We had Werder Bremen to win over Mainz. That didn’t exactly go to plan as Bremen were crushed 5-0. Mainz were up 3-0 after just 19 minutes. Things like that are funny as you can turn the game off knowing it’s over but you find yourself keep checking in “just in case”.
We had 2u on Augsburg and they got a nice and comfortable 3-0 win over Dusseldorf.
Game of the day of course was the Dortmund vs RB Leipzig game that ended 3-3. Belter of a game. What a goal by Julian Brandt in that one. Such control. If you haven’t seen it, click here.
Shoutout to my boy Rob who woke up Monday and saw Liverpool were 8.00 to win. Thinking it was an error he rushed to the bookies and placed bets on them not realizing it was their youth team! Loved that. Youth team didn’t look that bad to be honest they played well. That Harvey Elliott is going to be some player. Nice to get that exposure early.
Reminder I have Bundesliga tips for today posted.
Not much going on Thursday. Couple of games Friday that we can look at though so let’s do that:
Fiorentina vs Roma Betting Tips:
Fiorentina are currently 13th in Serie A while Roma are 4th. Roma are on a nice run of four games unbeaten and it’d be longer if not for that brutal loss to Parma.
Fiorentina have had their struggles but a lot of close games and they pulled off a big point against Inter Milan with Dusan Vlahovic scoring in injury time there.
Fiorentinas real issue has been not being able to finish. They haven’t been too bad at home with a 2-3-3 record.
The draw is very tempting here. Metric wise, Roma are comparable to Inter but just not as good. Fiorentina aren’t too shabby away. Fiorentina have a good recent record against Roma.
I’m going to bet purely on the first half here. I think this will be a tight opening game.

Middlesbrough vs Stoke Betting Tips:
These sort of games always intrigue me. Two teams who are bottom or close to the bottom of the offensive charts but don’t really have the defences either.
It’s a relegation battle too so it’s really a six pointer for either team. Boro are fairly solid at home though and that’s why they’re doing slightly better. Stoke haven’t had the worst form at the moment though and coming into this on the back of two clean sheets is important.
Boro meanwhile have started rocking it at home lately. Boro will be missing Paddy McNair which is going to be tough after that red card against Swansea. He is a key player.
Boro have had a resurgence lately and are performing well at home. Despite that I think Stoke are going to be able to steal something here. The draw might seem an obvious play but I’ve seen Boro blow it before and think Stoke can do it. I think they are quite rightly favourites here and will live up to that tag.
