It’s Wednesday and that means golf tips time!
It was a close week last week with the golf tips but we couldn’t make it two winning weeks in a row unfortunately.
At Torrey Pines Ryan Palmer was looking great however shot a 75 on the 3rd round that ruled him out of getting the cash. He bounced back though enough to have me back him again this week.
Dubai we came very close too. Lee Westwood was a stroke away from that top 5 cash unfortunately. Garcia we had just to win and he ended up coming third. Sadly no excitement as DeChambeau dominated it.
This week we’ve got the Waste Management Phoenix Open and the Saudi International.
Let’s get to it:
Waste Management Phoenix Open Bets:
Matsuyama To Win. I mean 12/1 is a great price here and that’s not something I normally say. However his form here is tremendous and with the weather remaining stagnant here over the years that won’t be a factor and course form is a big one. He looks like he is coming in playing good golf and it wouldn’t shock me to see him win again.
Talor Gooch To Win and Top 5: Kicking myself for missing out on him last week at the price he was. He’s looking phenomenal and GOOOOOCH has to keep it going here I think. Everything I look at suggests he is set up perfectly for this course so I’m feeling good about him even at 90/1.
Daniel Berger to Win and Top 5: Berger is a tough one and I spent all day yesterday debating it but have decided to go with a small bet on him. He performs well here normally and even though he is yet to crack the top 5 I thought he played well at Scottsdale. He is a strong bounce back golfer too so I am good with him here.
Lucas Glover to Win and Top 5: I’m not the only one that spotted him as he started at 110/1 and is down to 80/1. He has never performed amazing here but he is well suited for this course and is coming in strong. Just a small bet due to the odds drop though.
Ryan Palmer to Win and Top 5: Another one I debated like Berger. However looking back at last week I think it was just the pressure that really got to him. It can be tough going around with the worlds top golfers. The price of 80/1 is nice and he should feel good at this course where he does well.
Saudi International Bets:
I honestly know nothing about this course really. I’ve looked at it and made some guesses but nothing worth really advising.
I’ve made two small bets to win and top 5. They are Justin Harding and Pablo Larrazabal.
Bet them at your peril!
That’s it for the golf this week. Let’s hope we at least get to wake up Sunday with something to watch. Enjoy the tournaments.
