Welcome to Wednesdays sports betting tips.
We’re getting this one up nice and early because the WGC kicks off early on during the day on Wednesday and we want you to get all of the golf tips ASAP.
We’ve been on a huge run for the golf at the moment and we are hoping it continues. February was solid with Dustin Johnson and his Northern Trust Open place but the highlights have been in March.
First in the WGC Cadillac Championship we took Bubba Watson Top 5 Finish and he only bloody won the thing. That was really nice. Next of course was the massive 40/1 winner of Scott Hend in the True Thailand Classic.
Last week we had a lot of contenders in every tournament and it all came down to the wire. We didn’t do as well as we’d like but we still had these two cashes:
So that was lovely jubbly, as Del Boy would say.
Let’s see what we can rustle up this week:
Golf Betting Tips:
WGC Dell Matchplay: Matchplay events are never really that fun when it comes to a betting perspective although they’re good to watch.
We do however have 4 bets on 3 separate golfers.
The first is Danny Willett who at 35/1 we’re backing to win as well as E/W. We’re also going to back him to win the group he is in.
The top ten ranked golfer is in form and he looked extremely good last year when he participated in this tournament and got a Top 4 finish. His GIR is extremely impressive at the moment and although he’s in a tight group we feel he should prevail. His contenders in the last 16 don’t look too strong with Rose or Kuchar, and so we expect him to get to at least the semi finals.
We’re also on Kevin Kisner to win his group. We like what Kisner has been doing lately and the #1 ranked in the Fedex Cup is in fine form. We expect him to continue that here.
Finally we’ve got to go with the matchplay king himself, Rory McIlroy. It’s tough to beat this guy in matchplay but his odds of 10/1 are still excellent. We will be backing king Rory to take this one at 10/1 and bet it E/W too because it’s hard NOT to see this guy in the semi finals at least. Feels like free money.
Puerto Rico Open: We backed him last week and we’ll take Scott Brown again. We’re still happy with his form and thought he was okay last time out. We’re also on Boo Weekley. Boo has performed very well at this course and we loved what we saw from him at the Phoenix Open. We think Boo can come on strong here.
We’re also placing bets on Coetzee and Hadley. Please note all 4 of these bets are small bets worth a quarter unit because this is a bloody tough tournament to predict.
LPGA: It’s the Kia Classic and just the one tip this time which is Cristie Kerr.
Everything is to win and E/W.
Enjoy the golf.
