It’s Wednesday which means another round of golf betting tips from yours truly. I picked up a winner with last weeks tips of Bernd Wiesberger to get in the Top 5 so that’s a few weeks in a row(actually since September 12th) that I’ve had wins so hopefully I can keep the momentum going.
I’ll also be looking into this weeks CFL Action as the playoffs are upon us now. Finally I’ll have a quick peek at tonights NHL action.
But first – let’s go to the golf.
So up first we have the Nedbank Golf Challenge on the European Tour. It used to be called the “Million Dollar Challenge” but hey Nedbank sounds soooo much better am I right? I mean heck how about the “Million Dollar Challenge brought to you by Nedbank” or something? Would be better.
Marc Lesihman won last year in very dominant fashion as he won by a whopping 6 strokes. That was some impressive stuff. The leaders here the last few years do seem to dominate a bit. It’s an interesting course as well because if you look at the data you’ll see course form is a big factor here and that’s what I am basing my bets on this week.
First up I’m taking Retief Goosen who won here 12 years ago. Feels just like yesterday! He hasn’t played in this tournament for 6 years now but it’s a course he’s been quite bloody dominant at to be honest.
I’m also on Padraig Harrington. Harrington showed he is in form with his victory in Portugal and also has that excellent course form. He didn’t play too well following the Portugal masters but that’s a common trend amongst winners of tournaments(except for the elite).
Finally for the Nedbank Golf Challenge I’m on Thognchai Jaidee. Jaidee can always bring it to the table and he’s a nice price, on form and of course has performed well here in the past.
All of those I’m personally risking a quarter of a unit(or 1 unit if you use a 1-5 betting system) and I’ll be betting them both to win & E/W.
Now the OHL Classic – another one where course form seems to be a big factor.
Two picks for me this week which are Jason Bohn and Keegan bradley for 1 and 2 units respectively. Bohn has had some great performances here while Bradley just looks darn good and I think this course suits him. I was very tempted to take him just to win but I’ll go with both of these guys to win & E/W.
CFL Playoffs Betting Tips:
I’m taking Eskimos -3 because man – I just can’t back an East team against a West team. I think it’s a good price and although Hamilton usually keep things nice and tight against the Eskimos I thought their performance against the Alouettes was horrible and they don’t even deserve to be here.
I’m also on the Blue Bombers +4.5. In what should be a close matchup I like those additional points and could see Winnipeg actually steal it. They have some sick road form too.
NHL for November 9th, 2016
For NHL tonight we’re on Ducks to win at 1.90 odds and Over 5 in the Hawks vs Blues game at 1.77. Also in AHL take the Griffins in Regulation.
