This week on the Champions Tour, it is the Insperity Invitational.
This tournament currently takes place in The Woodlands, Texas at the Woodlands Country Club. It became part of the tour in 2004, although under a different name.
The first name was the Administaff Small Business Classic. It moved to Woodlands in 2008, and then in 2011 it became the Insperity Championship. These days it is called the Insperity Invitational, which got the name last year.
It’s a 54 hole tournament, and it’s a very tricky course. Last year, only 20 golfers ended up under par. The year before there was only 7 of them. That was a great year as it went to a playoff, with Esteban Toledo beating out Mike Goodes and Gene Sauers for the win, with all 3 ending up at -6 after Toledo had an incredible round 3, while Goodes and Sauers struggled.
As always, before we present the Insperity Invitational betting tips, we’ll present the odds:

Insperity Invitational Betting Tip #1:
Let’s go with the favourite, Bernhard Langer to take it down.
We’d be betting on Langer based on his form this season alone. He has been very selective about when he plays, and he really favours a break. We watched him and how good he was at the Tucson Conquistadores, and we of course tipped him for the Greater Gwinnett Championship. He was probably going to take that down with an awesome 64 in round 2 – but unfortunately rain affected that tournament just as he was hitting his stride.
The German is going to come out here ready to dominate after that.
On top of that, he is also the holder of this tournament, having won here last year. It was a tight tournament where he just pipped Fred Couples by 1 strike, but he’s really got a handle on this course now. He didn’t play well in the previous year with a 77-72-72 but we rewatched last years champion tour, and were thoroughly impressed.
Insperity Invitational Betting Tip #2:
Our final betting tip is Esteban Toledo at 33/1.
Toledo has a great history here. He won it in 2013, and last year he came 4th. He’s a veteran of this course, and based on his 67-71-71 last year he has the ability to knock up a big day if needed.
It helps that Toledo hasn’t been in bad form. He came 3rd in the ACE Group Classic in February, and was tied for 10th and looking good in the Greater Gwinett.
We’ll go with E/W bet on the Mexican – hoping he can finish in the top 5, or even win it for the big score.
