An 0-1 record last night.
I think it might be time to give up on the Mavericks on the road bet because if Luka Doncic is going to play like this:
? @luka7doncic comes up clutch in the @dallasmavs win over MIN with 29 PTS, 8 REB, 12 AST! #MFFL #NBARooks
Doncic (19 years, 317 days) is the youngest player with at least 25 points and 10 assists in a game since @KingJames (19 years, 95 days) in 2004. pic.twitter.com/KIC5yOKlid

Then it doesn’t matter where they play. He kept his team in the game down the stretch despite the as-predicted great Karl-Anthony Towns game of 30 points, 11 rebounds.
This is the third straight game with 27+ for him and he’s really starting to feel comfortable in the league. He’s a true generational talent and I’m going to be keeping a real close eye on the Mavericks going forward. They are good.
One game from yesterday’s preview I am kicking myself on is the Wizards and Bucks. I was on the verge of taking the Wizards, but couldn’t go against the Bucks. Well, Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t end up playing and I’d have no issue going against them if I knew that. Hopefully some of you caught that.
There are eight games on the NBA schedule today, let’s see what we’ve got.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs: I have a light rule that teams in this league just don’t beat each other twice in a week. The Spurs and OKC played a really crazy game that saw double overtime, three hundred points, and a 56-pointer from LaMarcus Aldridge. You have to think that the Thunder will get their win back here, but the -5 is a lot considering how evenly matched these teams were earlier this week.
Chicago Bulls vs. Utah Jazz: I was oh so wrong about the Warriors giving up too many points to the Bulls last night and I’m probably wrong here too. Which is why it’s in this section. I love the Jazz to win here, but the -11.5 scares me. Tough schedule for Chicago on the back-to-back and heading to Utah. The Bulls are 4-5 against the spread as an underdog of 6.5 to 12 points. Skipping, but I’m sure I’ll regret it in the morning.
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Miami Heat Betting Tips:
This is my play of the day today as I really like the Heat here. They’ve been a bit up and down of late, but I just like their roster better. While their top-two players might not be good as Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, the rest of the roster matches up pretty well. The depth of the Grizz really drops off after Jaren Jackson Jr. While the Heat go 12-deep. Everyone in their regular rotation is averaging at least 7 points per game.
Throw in the recent play of Memphis, they are just 3-11 over their past fourteen games, and it’s hard not to like the Heat at home here. Memphis is just 9-15 on the season against the spread as an underdog. I’ll save you my theories on the Miami nightlife as that has backfired before. I just like this one from a pure basketball perspective.
