It’s Friday, and we’ve got a decent weekend of sports ahead of us.
Along with the usual soccer, hockey and basketball action we’ve also got NFL playoff games and of course a UFC event on a rare Sunday night as UFC Fight Night 81 takes place.
Let’s get to Fridays betting tips as we analyze every NHL Game:
NHL Betting Tips:
Bruins vs Sabres: The Boston Bruins have started to really slip again and after some poor performances, the Sabres have won two on the trot on the road and are now playing at home. Despite their current form, the Sabres are the lowest scoring team at home in the NHL while Bruins are a top 5 team on the road. It’s a very tricky game and one we would recommend avoiding. If you must bet, take the Over.
Blackhawks vs Leafs: You have to wonder how much the Blackhawks have left in the tank after last nights game. They’re going against a Leafs team who in their first showing without JVR looked extremely poor. It’s a tough one because pre-JVR Leafs were very solid at home but then we saw them against the Blue Jackets. Another tough one and the only play we can go with is the Under due to the Hawks solid defense at the moment.
Canucks vs Hurricanes: The Hurricane have 4 wins in a row and going for #5 against the Canucks. Canes played last night though so did the Canucks and they got dominated by the Capitals. With the way the Canucks have been lately we think this will be a tight game and are going to do a value bet of Overtime.
Penguins vs Lightning: Penguins are on the road against a Tampa team who have started to look a little bit better? They still have their problems though. Penguins can’t score on the road but are also very tight defensively. Tampa also struggle to score at home. Under looks to be the play here.
Jets vs Wild: These two have had some solid games this season – the Jets will go into this one without Byfuglien. Minnesota have lost their last two games at home and haven’t won at home in regulation yet this year. The Jets got a morale boosting win over the Predators last night. Wild should be more focused and with the Jets playing last night we’ll take Wild to win although are a bit nervous about their momentum.
Stars vs Ducks: Both teams coming into this one very inconsistent. The only notable thing about the stats is the Stars are the joint leaders for goals per game on the road, and are 2.91 GAA on the road as well. Ducks have win and lost the past 7 switching every time and are so inconsistent. The bookies have them as a pickem and for good reason – this is too tight to call.
Scottish Premier League Betting Tips:
Celtic take on Dundee Utd today and Celtic always enjoy upping their game against them. They’ve beaten them 5-0 at home and 3-1 away this season.
In saying that in theory every team ups their game against Celtic and either way we like this one to have a lot of goals in it. What we are going to bet on this one is Celtic to win and both teams to score. The odds of that are a healthy 2.75 which is a nice price. Despite their troubles Dundee Utd are usually good at getting one goal in. Celtic are usually solid in defense but they always let the goals leak in and we like that happening here.
