A great 2-0 record last night.
Despite not having James Harden, the Rockets put up a hell of a fight against the Warriors that had me biting my nails. The Warriors -5 had a huge fourth quarter to sew this thing up. Draymond Green had a triple double and the Splash Brothers combined for 57 points as the Warriors won by ten.
The Thunder -2 also took until the fourth quarter to shut down the Clippers. A very similar story here as the Thunder went +13 in the final frame with Russell Westbrook finishing with a triple double. This was a crazy scoring game, both teams scored 30+ in each quarter, until the final frame when the Thunder defense held LA to just 20 points.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Detroit Pistons Betting Tips:
The Pistons have lost both games to the 76ers this season and tonight they have Andre Drummond listed as questionable. That’s not a great sign for them as he is the focal point of their offense and is averaging 15 rebounds per game, not exactly easy stats to replace. They lost Wednesday to the Heat without him and tonight could be more of the same.
The 76ers are just a better team with Joel Embiid in the lineup and he should be playing tonight. Without Drummond to defend him, he could run wild and the Sixers are a real nice play here at home tonight. Sixers -6 is my play of the day.
Chicago Bulls vs. Dallas Mavericks Betting Tips:
The Mavericks are in the midst of a really nice five game stretch. Their only loss was to the Warriors and that was only by three points. All the other games were win including impressive wins against the Raptors, Pelicans and Thunder. This is always one of the best coached teams in the league and it appears that Rick Carlisle has unlocked something of late. They have a 113 Offensive Rating during this stretch and we like them at home tonight
Chicago is on the other side and while we like what they’ve done this season, this isn’t a great match-up for them. The Dallas offense is too dynamic and I’m not sure that the Bulls will be able to keep up. This might be the first time we’ve done this all season, but the Mavericks -4 is our play tonight.
Washington Wizards vs. Memphis Grizzlies Betting Tips:
The Wizards have won five of their past six games and are looking like the team that we expected them to be in the preseason. They have really unlocked their defense as of late with a 102.8 Defensive Rating over the past 30 days which is the 3rd best rank in the NBA. They draw a very favorable match-up on the road tonight.
By now, you should know the story of the Memphis Grizzlies. They lost Mike Conley and everything fell apart. They’ve played decent as of late, but they simply don’t have the personnel to keep up with a team like the Wizards. For the season they are 24th in Offensive Rating and it’s hard to see them being competitive tonight.
The Wizards -4.5 look great in this match-up.
