Quite the night of sports yesterday. The Toronto Raptors at home lost to the Hornets, who have now won 4 in a row. The Knicks also continue to struggle, with the Rockets completely dominating them. And the one sided games continued last night, with the Trail Blazers having a massive third quarter to kill off the Miami Heat.
Lots of fun hockey action. After being shut out the previous night, the Blackhawks dominated the Wild for the big W there. Ottawas struggles continue as the Avs beat them 5-2 in an easy outing for Colorado. Florida upset Vancouver, and in the big game the Rangers came out winners over the Kings, thanks to a 3-0 2nd period.

NBA Betting Tips for January 9th, 2015:
We’ve got four NBA Betting Tips for this fine evening.
The Hawks are the team we love at the moment. They’re looking just great out there, and everything seems to be going well for them at the moment. We will be taking the Hawks -2.5 over the Pistons, a team who are 4-13 at home.
We’re also going to jump on Jazz +11.5. This is a big line. The Thunder are having some major problems with shooting at the moment, and while we expect the Thunder to win – we don’t think it will be by that big a margin. If the Thunder were hot we’d stay away – but the way they are missing at the moment we have to go with it.
We’re also going to take the Suns +5. Parker thinks he can play both halves now but we believe he is still struggling. Of course, this is usually a bad matchup for the Suns but we think this is a great opportunity to bank on them.
Finally in NBA action, we’ll take the Lakers to cover the spread against the Orlando Magic. Both teams are struggling at the moment, but we’ve liked what we are seeing from the Lakers. Well, except for that Clippers game of course. But we like them to bounce back tonight.
NHL Betting Tips for January 9th:
5 games tonight, but it’s slim pickings when it comes to value.
We’re going to go with Lightning -1.5. They are playing Buffalo, who after looking good in early December, are back to being well – Buffalo again. Tampa are on fire at the moment and while Tampa can be hot and then ICE cold, we don’t think that will happen here. They are feeling the confidence and should decimate Buffalo like they have twice already this season.
If you like value, bet on the Blue Jackets over the Leafs. 2.20 odds in what should be a pickem at best – so true odds of 2.00 or juice odds of 1.90. Blue Jackets are a good price.
