Today we will cover the action taking place in Serie A on Wednesday.
I’ve already posted EPL Bets for July 15th, 2020 if you wish to peruse those.
There is a good amount of Serie A games taking place as the league winds down. 7 games in total.
The top of the table is pretty much sorted right now and it’s all about who can get in 2nd place. The battle for other European spots is still a bit tight which is nice.
At the bottom, the relegation battle looks to be between Genoa and Lecce although there is still a couple of times that can get relegated beyond that of course. Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Udinese and Torino aren’t safe yet.
July 15th, 2020 Serie A Betting Tips:
AC Milan vs Parma: 2nd best performers of the pandemic era, AC Milans are heavy favorites here as they take on Parma. I will give Parma credit however for their goalscoring abilities despite the losses. They actually have a very low xG too so it’s a credit to their finishing.
It was nice to see that even without Cornelius Parma were still able to score. I don’t believe he is playing here however I still like Parma to keep their run of getting on the scoresheet going. 1u on Both Teams to Score at 1.75 odds.
Bologna vs Napoli: Both teams come into this on the back of 2-2 draws. Napoli have been the more impressive team although you have to give Bologna credit for some solid results. They are no pushover and I think will battle hard against Napoli here. They will be upset about complacency in that last game. However they have the 2nd worst xG in the league post pandemic break. I was conflicted on this one. With Napoli’s 4th place dreams gone I am concerned they may slump here and will stay away. I wanted to back BTTS but the odds were crap plus that Bologna xG is concerning.
Sampdoria vs Cagliari: Cagliari still struggle to score however have picked up two points in a row. Sampdoria are generally looking good and I liked the way they bounced back from that Atalanta loss. Now they are looking safe from relegation they are playing with confidence. Both teams have very low xGs and I am good with 1u on Under 2.5 goals at 1.90 odds due to how tight Cagliari have been.
Roma vs Verona: Roma look to have got back on track with that Parma win as they followed it up with a 3-0 win over Brescia. They have much tougher opposition though as they take on Verona. Honestly I’m not 100% sold on Roma yet and I think there’s value to be had betting against them. if I’m wrong then I am wrong and this will be a nice learning experience. 1u on Verona or Draw at 2.25 odds.
Lecce vs Fiorentina: A big game for Lecce against potential relegation candidates Fiorentina. They looked ready for the drop then beat Lazio and got a point against Cagliari. Fiorentina come marching in with a 3 game unbeaten streak. Lecce could move out of the relegation zone here and I think that will spur them on. Very low confidence in them of course but I am good with 0.5u on Lecce or Draw at 1.80 odds.
Sassuolo vs Juventus: No bet here. I think Juventus get back to winning ways but that is a gut feeling that I had with Atalanta and it didn’t pan out. No bet.
Udinese vs Lazio: Lazios performances are very concerning and it gives us a good price on them at 1.95 which is tempting. I don’t know what is going on with them and Immobile seems to be struggling a bit but man given the quality and the price I am good with 1u on Lazio at 1.95 odds.
