Some good games yesterday in the MLS. We didn’t have any betting tips going on however I watched the games and they were fun ones. Toronto FC vs NY Red Bulls was a good one and if you haven’t yet, be sure to look up the Jozy Altidore goal. Sick little backheel.
Chicago faced off against Columbus in the battle of the bottom clubs and it was a tight 2-2 game. Chicago looked like they had the win but Romario Williams scored in the 90th minute to tie it up.
There’s a ton of MLS games taking place on Saturday, July 20th and I’m going to cover them here.
This is that time period where I just seem to get sucked right into the MLS. Funny as when other football is going on I honestly don’t pay much attention to it other than keeping up on scores. But in July each year I find myself absolutely hooked on it as I think it’s the anticipation of the ‘regular’ football coming back.
Let’s get to it:
Toronto FC vs Houston United Betting Tips:
Toronto are coming off that excellent 3-1 win over the Red Bulls. They’ve strung together two wins in a row and have a 3 game unbeaten streak at home. Actually they’re playing some damn good football at the moment with only 1 loss in their last 5.
Can’t say the same for the Houston Dynamo who are slipping down the league. It’s a pity as they are excellent at home however are one of those clubs who just can’t get it going away. Out of 9 games they have won just once.
One good reason for Toronto turning things around is the international duties ending and with Jozy Altidore back, we’re seeing Alejandro Pozuelo in that playmaker position that he does good in.
I think we see a similar game from Toronto that we did against Montreal where they put them under pressure a lot. I was a bit concerned with the way Toronto were defensively in the previous game however and Houston are a team that are great at creating chances. I think we see a high scoring game here.

Sporting KC vs FC Dallas Betting Tips:
We made money on Dallas losing last time out when they lost 1-0 to Minnesota United.
They continue to struggle away. They were extremely unlucky to lose to Minnesota honestly however I think that is a big blow to their confidence. To play so well then to lose to that injury time goal from Mason Toye is brutal.
Sporting KC come into this one on the back of two excellent wins. After that blowout to LAFC they’ve put up two clean sheets in a row. However it’s against Vancouver and Chicago Fire so nothing too amazing there.
I think Dallas can do something here. I’m not convinced by Sporting KC and I think Dallas must see this as a must-win game and the perfect one to turn their fortunes around on the road. Not saying they’ll win but I think they’ll give it a good go here.
