It was a great day for the tips yesterday with two nice winners.
The first one was in the Brazilian Serie A. I went with Bahia to beat Vitoria at 1.83 odds. I felt that with Vitoria and their defensive woes, Bahia would shake off their scoring troubles and get the goals in. They did that in style with a 4-1 thrashing of their rivals.
The other tip was Over 3.5 goals in the Minnesota United vs Los Angeles FC game. Honestly on that one I thought LAFC would contribute more goals but I’ll take what I can get! Minnesota United put the game over on their own with a big 5-1 thrashing of LAFC where Christian Ramirez scored a double.
Not too many games going on for Tuesday, July 24th unfortunately – at least not games where I feel I have a strong knowledge of. But that’s okay that’s what statistics are for. Time to make some stats based picks – my favourite kind:
Brazilian Serie B: Goias vs Coritiba Betting Tips:
Both teams in Serie B so far are on 24 points. Coritiba are a much better home team however with the best home record in the league. Unfortunately for them they only have 4 points on the road thus far this season and that’s where they are playing here.
Goias are a strong in form team and both teams rank in the top half for goals scored while Goias have the joint 2nd worst defensive record in the league.
At home, 88% of the Goias games have seen both teams score. Coritiba have a similar record with 75% of their away games seeing both teams score goals.
With how close they are in the league you might think this would be a tight game however the Goias defense is very poor and Coritiba will hope to take advantage of that. They’ve averaged 1 goal per game in the season so far and I like them to at least continue that streak.

Brazilian Serie B Betting Tips: Brasil de Pelotas vs Boa
A bottom of the table clash with Boa on 10 points and BDP on 15 points.
BDP aren’t a good team by any means but at home they’re fairly average which is good to see. They’ve played 8 games at home with a record of 3 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. Compare that to Boa EC who have just 1 win and 2 draws with 5 losses in their 8 away games.
The one glaring issue with Brasil de Pelotas is they struggle to score. They actually average just 1 goal a game at home however they aren’t too shabby defensively at home. Boa EC meanwhile are very poor on the road.
Boa EC have the worst defense in the league and also the worst offense based on the stats. I’ve got to think that despite their goalscoring woes, Brasil de Pelotas can get the goals coming in against this defense.
