The St. Louis Blues are your 2019 Stanley Cup champions. It was a pretty crazy run for this team that was just 6-7 in their home games and a whopping 10-3 on the road. They really did that in the Cup finals as well as they were just 1-2 at home and 3-1 on the road. That has to be tough for these teams and, especially, their fans who paid big money to watch this. It was a crazy run from St. Louis and I can’t say that I saw that before the season.
Another thing I didn’t see is the Toronto Raptors being one win away from the NBA Championship. It’s taken a really unique set of circumstances to get them to this point and they are now one win away from becoming NBA champions for the very first time. They are playing in Oakland tonight in what will be the very last game at the Oracle Arena. You have to think that the Warriors are going to show up big for that one.
NBA Betting Tips:
Toronto Raptors at Golden State Warriors: I became convinced that the Raptors were going to win this series is the last game. Once Kevin Durant left, they really closed the gap and really played better on both ends of the floor. Well, except for that last two-plus minutes. I don’t know what happened there.
A lot of credit for that finish should go to the Warriors though. That is the win of a team that is tough and unfazed by such things. They made the shots they needed to make and didn’t get flustered. We’ve seen teams in these playoffs in that same situation crumble and the Warriors are much better than those teams. Even in their hobbled state.
So, I believe the Raptors are going to win this series, but there is just enough of a doubt and believe in the gravitas of the Warriors. The Warriors are 0-2 in Oakland thus far and this will be the last game at the Oracle Arena. There will definitely be emotions high here and I can really see the Warriors forcing a game seven. This is it for the Oracle and things will be different at the new place. I am thinking Steph and Klay have a special night and force a game seven.
MLB Betting Tips:
Detroit Tigers at Kansas City Royals: This isn’t a very attractive match-up, but that’s exactly why I am tipping it here. These are two very weak offenses and they are sending two decent pitchers to the mound. Matthew Boyd is having a great season for the Tigers and the Royals have been one of the worst teams in baseball against lefties. The Royals will send Homer Bailey who has looked great in his home starts and is facing an offense that is pretty weak against all pitchers. While both of the bullpens are questionable at best, I find it hard not to go with the under here. These are two bad offenses and two good starters
