A nice day yesterday as we got the +1000 win in NASCAR when Denny Hamlin captured the checkered flag. This was a nice race for us as Chase Elliot, another one of our winner picks, took second so we were in a position where we seemingly couldn’t lose. The best is that of all the picks we made, Hamlin was the biggest underdog. We also got the win on a prop bet as the race went under 6.5 cautions, landing at just six.
WWE Backlash was not as kind to us as Edge lost in the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. The tough thing here is that we definitely didn’t have all the right information going in. Edge has a triceps injury that will keep him out for awhile going forward. Did that change the ending of this match? It’s certainly possible. The worst thing about the whole thing is now we have to see these two wrestle again. Their two matches have gone almost two hours combined and I can’t imagine what they have in store for the third. Count me out.
We’ve hit some speed bumps in the return to play for the NBA as some players are feeling uncomfortable about playing in the Florida bubble as it sounds like hotel employees might not be in the bubble (which thus makes the bubble obsolete). While others are worried about what effect the return of the NBA might have on the Black Lives Matter movement going on throughout the country. These are complicated issues for sure, but I still believe that the NBA will return. Someone like LeBron James can do a lot of good with a mic in his hand every night.
While MLB has hit an impasse. The players rejected the owners’ latest proposal which was more of the same, cuts to the player’s salaries and a high dependence on the playoffs happening in order for them to get paid the majority of it, and now the ball is in the commissioner’s hands. Well, the owners hands as he is simply going to do what they tell him: either make yet another proposal or mandate a shortened season. Jeff Passan at ESPN has a great article about the whole thing if you’re interested in reading.
Bundesliga Betting Tips:
These games take place early tomorrow.
Union Berlin vs. Paderborn: Paderborn is set for relegation while Union Berlin is very much on the bubble for relegation so this meeting between two lower teams really has some intrigue. While both teams have not been shy about allowing goals this season, they both have also struggled to score them themselves. These two have one match-up under their belt this season that ended in a 1-1 tie and I could see that happening again here. The under isn’t my favorite bet to make, but I just don’t trust these teams to fill the net.
bet Paderborn/Union Berlin Under 2.5
Sport-Club Freiburg vs. Hertha Berlin: Hertha looked good after coming back from the break, but have really started to struggle of late with bad losses to Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt. They’ll be without Mittelstadt for this one and they really don’t have a whole lot to play for right now. While Freiburg hasn’t been setting the world on fire of late, they have looked decent with a win over Monchengladbach and a point against Wolfsburg. I think they can get the win here and I love these odds.
