It’s Wednesday and that means pro wrestling here at SBT. The Wednesday night wars are back on with both shows doing a strong build towards next week’s episodes. There are still some good odds for tonight, but next week is when things get interesting. I should have tips up for that over the weekend.
I will also be posting some MLB Win Totals for the 2020 shortened season. This is going to be a weird one as there is a lot more variance in a 60-game season and the coronavirus is a huge risk for teams to lose players. Still, the haves and have nots are strong in baseball and I still believe a team like the Dodgers will be great no matter what the season length.
A lot to get to today so let’s get right into our betting tips.
AEW Betting Tips:
There are two matches with odds on this card right now:
- Brodie Lee & Colt Cabana (-2000) vs. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss (+700)
- Wardlow (-150) vs. Luchasaurus (+108)
The first match almost feels worth a small bet on Janela & Kiss because of the whole “mismatched” tag team partners thing. That said, I think the wheels are just getting going on the Colt Cabana/Dark Order story and a win here would push him further towards their side and into their good graces.
For the second match, it’s a toss-up to me. Luchasaurus has never lost a singles match in AEW and I’m not sure he’s even taken a pin. While Wardlow has been unstoppable outside of the one match with Cody. This is definitely a match that is here to set up another match in the next few weeks. That match looks to be Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy against Wardlow and MJF. So, how do they get there?
AEW has been very careful with their countout/disqualification finishes so I wonder if they are going to burn one of those here. It seems unlikely, but it is possible. However, I think the best bet is Wardlow getting the win thanks to some help from MJF. That sets up the tag match where the good guys can get their revenge. It’s wrestling, it’s not that hard.

NXT Betting Tips:
Three matches with betting odds on them right now:
- Karrion Kross (-5000) vs. Bronson Reed (+900)
- Damian Priest (-500) vs. Cameron Grimes (+300)
- Johnny Gargano (+700) vs. Finn Balor (+195) vs. Keith Lee (-250)
Only the one match even worth discussing here and that’s the North American title match three-way. The winner of this match will move on to a “Winner Takes All” match next week against Adam Cole.
That match is what we should be looking towards here and to see which opponent would be the bigger ratings draw against Adam Cole. Finn Balor has the most cache, Gargano has the most history, and Keith Lee is on the rise. There is also the matter of Karrion Kross who has laid out a challenge to Adam Cole through creepy mind games or whatever. This has all been very rushed so it’s hard to pick a winner based on any storytelling that is currently going on.
As it is, I think I have to go with the chalk. Keith Lee has been great and him versus Adam Cole is something that I think people really want to see. I don’t imagine next week’s match will have a clean finish, but Lee vs. Cole seems like the best pick based on what we know about NXT right now.

EPL Betting Tips:
This match takes place on June 25th.
Southampton vs. Arsenal: This is one of those matches where you need to take a look at the big picture. Arsenal has a big FA Cup quarterfinal match coming up and I’m thinking they might go with a weaker squad. That game is absolutely huge for them and this one really is not.
Southampton is coming off a strong win against Norwich City and it seems like the layoff might have done this team some good. Arsenal is coming off back-to-back losses and the home field advantage they would normally have here is lost with no fans. As it is, Southampton has played better on the road this year. Southampton got a win here last season as well.
I think Southampton can steal this one against a lightened Arsenal squad that will have it’s eyes on the next match and not on this one.
