A very successful day yesterday as our two wrestling picks and two EPL tips from Monday came in.
We went chalk in the pro wrestling last night and it worked out well for us. I wrote that I believed that Wardlow would get the win over Luchasaurus to set up a match with MJF/Wardlow against the Jungle Express and that is exactly what happened. On NXT, Keith Lee also got the win and I’ve been kicking myself for even debating that yesterday. That was the lock of the year.
Our two EPL tips came in as well. Back on Monday, I laid -1.5 for Manchester United taking on Sheffield United and Man U dominated the pitch with a 3-0 win. This was just an absolute dominated as Sheffield United only managed one shot on target. The other pick was Aston Villa vs. New Castle going under 2.5 and that’s exactly what happened. A quiet 1-1 tie with both teams only managing a combined 5 shots on target.
It’s the end of an era in the NBA as Vince Carter officially announced his retirement. He has got to be one of the greatest athletes to ever play the game of basketball and a sure-fire Hall of Famer. The way he went from being the most amazing dunker/athleticism freak to a solid role player is a transition we rarely get to see these days, but he was still a solid contributor and could’ve been next year too if he wanted it. To be 43 years old and play in the NBA takes a special, special athlete and that is exactly what Vince Carter was.
The MLB World Series champion odds are now live so I’ll take a quick look at those today and then over the weekend I will be posting my MLB Win Total bets. I also have KBO Baseball for late night tonight and a Italian Serie A match for tomorrow.
KBO Betting Tips:
This game takes place in the early AM of June 26th.
NC Dinos vs. Doosan Bears: This is a match-up of two of the best teams in the KBO and I am expected a lot of run scoring. The Dinos offense has been absolutely tearing up the league thus far and I think Park Jong-gi could be in for a rough day.
The Dinos pitching staff has been giving up runs of late with five or more runs allowed in 11 of their last 18 games. The Bears have the firepower to exploit that. I am not going to pick a winner here, but I think the over of 10.5 can be hit.

Italian Serie A Betting Tips:
This match takes place on June 26th.
Juventus vs. Lecce: Juventus are top of the league while Lecce is bottom three and that’s all you need to know about this. Ronaldo has to be licking his lips at the thought of this leaky Lecce defense that has bled goals throughout the season.
The spread here is a bit high, but Juventus has won five of their last six home games by at least two goals. I am laying the points.

With only a 60-game season there is a lot of potential for weirdness here. I think with the season starting in July that could lead to a very strong offensive “year” for the league. We’ve seen homeruns up over the last couple of years and they usually spike in July and August. That’s most of the season so I think the teams with strong offenses during that time are likely to be the teams to make the playoffs.
It’s not perfect, but I’ve looked at projections and there are some teams that should fare very well from this schedule and set-up. Here’s a few deep value picks that I am seeing right now.
Minnesota Twins +1600: Have the easiest projected schedule and are projected to have a great offense once again.
Tampa Bay Rays +1600: This team has been cursed with slow starts over the years and always has some of the best underlying numbers at the end of the year. Their problem is they play in the same division as the Yankees and Red Sox. Expanded playoffs could definitely help this team.
Cincinnati Reds +2500: This was going to be my sleeper team before the season went to hell, but they are going to have a really strong offense and the addition of the DH will only make them more powerful.
Milwaukee Brewers +3300: They have the 9th most favorable schedule, a solid bullpen, and the addition of the DH should mean more at-bats for Ryan Braun.
