We’re anxiously keeping up to date on the golf today, where we have some good action going on.
In the Travelers Championship, Brandt Snedeker is currently 2nd place halfway through round 3. We’ve got two other horses in that in Zach Johnson and Marc Leishman – both of whom are just a couple of strokes off a cash.
In the LPGA, our 80/1 pick of Mika Miyazato is currently tied for 7th and just a few strokes off the lead. That would be huge.
Bellator was a fun event last night. Kongo was impressive just battering the hell out of Volkov – blood always makes things so fun. And oh man the ending of Rickels vs Alessio – what a freaking dumbass to hit that stupid knee. Just absolutely mind blowing. Reminds you a bit of the Jones finish against Matt Hammill. Sad to see how frustrated he is. And a pity Alessio wasn’t up for fighting it. But holy crap – that Kato KO may be the best thing ever. Just absolutely killed Schilling.
Alright well it’s Saturday, June 27th – so nice that it’s the weekend and we’re ready to rock with sports betting tips for the day so let’s get to it:
UFC Fight Night 70 Betting Tips:
Should be a good card with Machida vs Romero as the main event.
The first betting tip will be in the main event, as we take Romero over Machida. We love Machida and he is talented as all hell – but he’s coming off that huge Rockhold loss. Machida is one of those fighters whose weaknesses are finally starting to show – and if Yoel Romero is smart, he will be able to take advantage of it. It’s also a smaller cage and that’s not good for Machida who really needs the space.
We also like Santiago Ponzinibbio. Larkin has done nothing to impress yet. He was horrendous at middleweight and his welterweight debut where he beat John Howard wasn’t anything special as Howard is a can at this stage. Ponzinibbio is very solid and we think this will be a dominating victory for the underdog at +185 odds. Super super easy bet.
In our final prediction of the night we’re taking Eddie Gordon. He’s been quite weak lately but you look past his last couple of fights and he is solid, and then we just don’t think Junior has what it takes here. The Truck should dominate here and knock him out knowing Junior can’t match him for KO Power.
WNBA Betting Tips:
Two games today, and we’re going to take Phoenix Mercury +6.5. The Phoenix Mercury have the returning Brittney Griner who will be making her debut – and that will be huge. They’ve been solid without her, but with her return it should be exceptional. She’s been playing a lot in 3 on 3s and should be in shape and ready to go.
This is going to be a big return for her and should be great for the WNBA as well. Let’s take the Mercury to cover the point spread.
