So with not a lot of action taking place in midweek, I’ve decided just to look ahead to the weekend games and the action taking place there. Obviously injuries can upset that so any questionable players that I feel are key I won’t bother tipping those.
First we went 1-0 yesterday with our lone tip of Haringey Borough vs AFC Hornchurch to draw. 3.75 odds for that one. Can’t beat it. Those two ended up 1-1. Those are my favourite bets to win – purely statistical analysis and taking a risk on the odds.
Speaking of draws at high odds I was able to call Bahia vs Palmeiras going to a draw in Brazil which was nice. Alas the Gremio vs Flamengo game didn’t go over.
Let’s look at Ligue 1 in France and the action taking place there on November 23rd:
Lyon vs Nice Betting Tips:
Lyon are pretty heavily favoured here and it makes sense. While they are 14th in the league and Nice are 13th, Lyon are the much better team in my opinion.
They’ve had a rough start to the season and just as they thought they had maybe got a nice little run going – beating Toulouse and Metz, they stumbled away to Marseille.
However I do believe in them and their offense, which is the 2nd best in the league, seemed to fade a little but but have been getting back on track.
They should have no problem putting the goals past a Nice team who seriously struggle defensively. Nice concede on average 1.50 goals on the road, while at home Lyon concede just 0.50 goals.
It makes Lyon winning to nil tempting but man I hate that bet. 90 minutes is a long time to go without conceding especially if you are lreading and the opposition is chasing you.
We’ll take the handicap.

Metz vs Reims Betting Tips:
This is an interesting game. The draw is a potential result here.
Reims have struggled offensively lately with three games without goals. They’re really stuttering and even when they are scoring it’s tight little 1-0 wins. They have scored just 9 goals in 13 games.
However they have an incredible tight defense with the best defensive record in the league, and that’s why despite their offensive woes they are currently 8th in Ligue 1.
Metz meanwhile also struggle to score but leak the goals.
To me, Reims are one of those teams who can get the job done in spots like this. It looks like the type of game that will end something like 0-0 or 1-0 in favour of Reims.
So knowing it’s going to be a tight game like that, it’s a case of looking at the potential bets and what to go with.
I think Reims have what it takes. They got wins over Rennes and PSG away and I think they can get it here. It’s very tight but I believe there is value on them.
