A 2-0 record last night.

The Bucks and Spurs game played out almost exactly as we predicted. The Bucks roared out of the gate with a 32-25 lead in the first quarter, but then lost every quarter of the game the rest of the way as fatigue set in. DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge combined for 57 points in the Spurs win.

Atlanta also got the job done against an extremely shorthanded Pelicans team. I wrote up Trae Young in the preview, but it was actually Kevin Huerter who led the way in this one with 30 points while Young finished with 10 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

That wraps up what might be our best week of the season as we went 10-2 Monday-Sunday. Much like teams like the Jazz or the Celtics we are starting to click at the right time as we gear up for the playoffs. Let’s continue the run here tonight.

Detroit Pistons vs. Brooklyn Nets Betting Tips:

This game has playoff implications which is honestly a pretty cool thing to say. Last season, that was not the case with these two teams and to see these two teams rebuild themselves has been nice. The Pistons have a slight lead on the sixth seed and a win here by Brooklyn would see them flip spots.

The Pistons are coming into this game hot. They’ve won their last five and eight out of their past nine. The improved outside shooting with Wayne Ellington and Luke Kennard has meant everything to this team, with Blake Griffin carrying the superstar load and Andre Drummond grabbing every rebound in sight. He won’t get much love from voters, but Dwayne Casey really did a good job coaching this team this year.

Nets have won their last three, but their schedule has been pretty light of late. They haven’t beat a playoff team since 2/25 and I’m not sure the team is ready for this type of intensity. The Pistons are a much more veteran team and I think they know they need to come in and handle their business tonight.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz Betting Tips:

Over the past 15 games, the Jazz have been one of the better teams in the league. They have a +3.1 Net Rating in that time and a record of 9-6. This team always gets it done at home as the Salt Lake City is one of the tougher cities to play in.

The Thunder have been struggling in that same time frame. They are just 7-8 with a +0.3 Net Rating. Yes, there was a Paul George injury that this team had to deal with that really messed them up, but overall they have not been encouraging of late with a 3-7 record over their past ten.

If this game was in OKC, I wouldn’t touch it, but the Jazz are 21-11 in home games on the season and have really been getting it done of late. This should be a fun, physical match-up that I see the Jazz coming out on top of. OKC has won all previous match-ups this season and I think that will motivate Utah.
