The 2020 Olympics have officially moved to 2021. This is a great move as instead of delaying them for a few months and then possibly delaying them again, we can now just look forward to 2021. It stinks for Japan who are probably going to have to spend even more money on this thing than they already have. It was always going to be controversial, but now it’s likely to cost them a lot of money as well.
Steve Ballmer and the Clippers officially announced that they have purchased the Forum in Los Angeles for $400 million in cash. This has been rumored for a long time as the Clippers are looking to build their own arena instead of being the third tenant in the Staples Center, but this did not need to be announced right now. Spending $400 million in cash when much of the country is out of work is just a bad look. Besides, they should just be moving this team to Seattle. LA will never accept another team over the Lakers and Seattle needs a team since the NBA stole theirs.
In other sports news, the MLB and MLBPA are currently in negotiations about what to do about the season. The players are willing to play numerous doubleheaders, as many as two per week, to help get close to a full 162 game schedule. Of course, this depends on when they get back to work, but it looks like they are going to try and get the full thing in. For better or worse. Based on the way things are going right now, the big question is who will be baseball’s Mr. December?

These games are happening all day, but I’m looking at one that is happening this afternoon between Sergey Morozov and Sarkis Moklosian. The odds are close on this one, but I think Moklosian has the advantage. They played each other on March 11th with Moklosian getting the win and Morozov has lost their last four matches (heading into today). The odds are about even here, but Moklosian looks like the favorite and I’ll be placing a small bet there.

This afternoon we have the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Dallas Cowboys with the Eagles a slight dog on the road. Honestly, I think this is a mistake. The Eagles in Madden 20 have five players at 90 OVRs or better, and two with 89 OVRs. The Cowboys were second in that category with a slightly better defense, but the Eagles offense is much better with Carson Wentz at 83. The game says that the Eagles are the best team out there right now and you should probably take the points.
