I’ll be honest I am pretty much at the point now where I am counting down the days until the Euros.
But hey one thing I do love is some playoffs and we’ve got that in England right now.
On Tuesday we’ve got Oxford vs Blackpool and Newport vs Forest Green so I thought I would take a look at both games if just to get some content up here.
Plus I’ll be watching them both and always good to have a wee flutter.
Let’s look at them both:
Oxford vs Blackpool:
Oxford are slight favourites at about 2.49 odds here to win this first leg matchup.
They are at home where they have been solid enough this season but not spectacular. These two teams drew 0-0 back in December but Blackpool beat them 2-0 away in March.
Both sides finished in very solid form. Oxford racked up 3 wins to end the season and 6 in their last 7, Blackpool had a very long unbeaten streak snapped but bounced back with 4 wins and 4 clean sheets.
Overall I think Blackpool are going to be the better side here over two legs. I’d like to do Draw or Blackpool for this one but there isn’t value. I am going to go with Blackpool to qualify for 2u at 1.66 odds. Their defense is a beast and I think will see them through.
Newport vs Forest Green:
Newport are favourites at about 2.40 odds here.They are a great home team although struggle away.
Forest Green are generally average no matter where they play. Newport came in solid and Forest Green came in after a big loss to Barrow, but redeemed themselves with victories over Tranmere and Oldham.
I think their home form and momentum will carry them through here and will take Newport to win for 1u at 2.38 odds.
