Seattle Mariners at Boston Red Sox Betting Tips:

SEA – George Kirby 0.90 ERA/1.79 FIP
BOS – Rich Hill 2.89 ERA/3.38 FIP

Kirby has been very impressive in his first two starts and he draws a nice match-up here against a Red Sox teams that is below average against righties on the year.

They have one of the worst walk percentages in the league and aren’t hitting for a ton of power right now. This is a big spot for Kirby, but one I think he’ll succeed in.

Rich Hill is not the same guy he once was and the Mariners have hit lefties well. He’s due for some regression as well with a low HR/FB rate and low BABIP thus far this season. Seattle just hit three bombs yesterday.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Chicago Cubs Betting Tips:

ARI – Zac Gallen 1.05 ERA/2.22 FIP
CHC – Marcus Stroman 5.13 ERA/4.19 FIP

Boston Celtics at Miami Heat Betting Tips:

This series has turned out to be less fun than it was meant to be with injuries/health protocols on the Boston side.

Last game they were without Marcus Smart and Al Horford. Tonight they are without Derrick White and Al Horford is highly unlikely to play.

I don’t think they can win without Horford. Tatum was the MVP of the Milwaukee series, but Horford was the true difference maker. His defense on Giannis plus his all-time great offensive performance in game four is what swung that series.

Game 1 was the Jimmy Butler show with 41 points, nine rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocked shots. That unique stat line that had never been done before. Butler has been quietly one of the best performers in the playoffs thus far. He leads the playoffs in plus/minus. Tatum has gotten a lot more press, but Butler has averaged more points, grabbed more rebounds, taken more steals, and turned the ball over a lot less.

Butler should continue to cook in this game and I think the Heat win again. I think Boston will look a lot better when the series shifts, but for now Miami should roll.

With less games to work with I am going to try and do double picks on games when it makes sense. Tonight, it makes sense.
