It’s Saturday, May 30th and we’ve got a pretty darn solid weekend of sports.
We’ll find out the Stanley Cup Finals matchup for sure – as Game 7 of the Blackhawks take on the Ducks in Anaheim tonight. The winner of that one will go on to face the Tampa Bay Lightning, who got a big win last night beating New York Rangers 2-0.
We have no basketball action unfortunately. The NBA Playoffs will begin on June 4th which is Thursday, as the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Golden State Warriors. Amazing to see the Cavs here after their last couple of seasons.
WWE Elimination Chamber is tomorrow, and we will have betting tips for that posted Sunday morning.
In the meantime let’s get to the betting tips for May 30th, 2015:
NHL Western Conference Final Betting Tips:
In this massive, massive game it’s easy to go both sides.
We had a massive argument this morning on the game. 2 of us like the Ducks, 2 of us like the Blackhawks, and 1 of us said overtime because he’s a wishy-washy bastard!
What a game it is expected to be.
You have to think both teams will tighten up – but a whole one goal can change that. And we’ve seen in this series already – they can both just hammer in the goals during a period after a goalless period. It’s really anyones game.
We’re going to go with the Ducks. You can get them at 1.82 odds at the sportsbook linked below, which is a solid price. However if you choose to ignore our advice and go with the Blackhawks we don’t blame ya. We just think the Ducks have the better team – and their only problem is consistency. But if they turn up tonight – and you have to think they do – they should be able to take the Blackhawks down.
UFC Fight Night 67 Betting Tips:
UFC Fight Night 67, coming from Brazil, takes place tonight. The main event is Carlos Condit vs Thiago Alves.
There’s not a lot of hype for this one – with it being sandwiched between UFC 187 and UFC Fight Night 68 next Saturday – which features Dan Henderson vs Tim Boestch as well as the likes of Rothwell vs Mitrione. But that’s actually a good thing as it generally means there is a lot more value to be found.
Our first bet is going to be Nik Lentz who is +225 going up against Charles Oliveria. I’m excited for this fight to happen, and this should be a solid dominant fight for Lentz. If it wasn’t for all the issues Lentz has had recently he’d probably be the favourite. Everyons is expecting him to be rusty after a year layout but we expect him to be invigorated.
We’re also going to recommend betting Over 3.5 rounds in Condit vs Alves. A lot of people think this one is going to be hard hitting and fast – but it’s one of those fights where you can practically predict how it will play out. Alves will start strong and fast but Condit is durable, will wait him out and be patient due to the knee -and then will slowly start to take over the fight. We can see this one going into the championship rounds with ease.
We also like Alex Oliveira who should be a higher price than -125. KJ Noons has some solid boxing but Oliveira just feels like a steap above him.
