The Milwaukee Bucks asserted their dominance over the Celtics last night as they won their third straight game in the series and their second straight at Boston. They have the chance to close things out at home tomorrow and I believe that they will. The Celtics have some tough questions to answer this summer and Kyrie Irving’s free agency will cloud everything. If last night was his last night in Boston, it wasn’t a very memorable one as he struggled from the field and his defense was questionable at best.
Another big game yesterday saw the Boston Bruins move on to the the Conference Finals in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins got a huge game from Tuuka Rask who had a shutout while the Bruins put up three goals. They will play the Hurricanes for the right to play for the Stanley Cup.
NHL Betting Tips:
Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues: The Blues had home ice for this series and now see game seven in their home building. That would normally be a good thing, but the Stars have actually won two of the three road games in this series. The Blues have actually only won two games total in the two rounds of the playoffs. They are a good team because they are in the seventh game of the second round, but that is a bad trend and I really like the Stars to continue that trend here.
NBA Betting Tips:
Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors: The Raptors got a win in game four to even up this series after another outstanding game by Kawhi Leonard. The Raps benefited from an illness to Joel Embiid and the Sixers will need him to rebound here to keep their hopes of winning this series alive.
I think this line is way too high for what we’ve seen from this series. Kawhi has been excellent, but the rest of his team has been terrible. Pascal Siakam is struggling with an injury, Fred Van Vleet is yet to make a shot, and Kyle Lowry is doing his same old crap. I think the Sixers can steal this one and put the Raps on the ropes. At the very least, it will be close.
Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: This series has been the best of the playoffs thus far in my opinion and tonight should be huge at Denver. The Portland centers versus Nikola Jokic has been the match-up of the series, and they didn’t have an answer for him in game four. I’m not sure there is an adjustment that can be made for that going forward, he might just own them now. As long as he keeps doing his thing and Jamal Murray continues his solid play, I think the Nuggets can steal a road game here.
MLB Betting Tips:
Washington Nationals at Milwaukee Brewers: The Nationals send Stephen Strasburg to the mound against the Brewers. I think he’ll do well because he is a very good pitcher and the Brewers offense isn’t as scary as it sometimes seems. Freddy Peralta had an awful start his last time out and the Brewers are going to use an opener in front of him to try and help him out. I don’t think that will work and I think the Nats grab the win here.
