A 1-0 night last night as the Astros did not let us down and grabbed the big win 16-2. I suppose we could’ve laid the runs here.
This one was never in doubt as the Astros scored five runs in the first two innings. It’s always fun to look at box scores for games like this though. George Springer went 6-for-6 in this one and Marwin Gonzalez had 5 RBIs. You always think of games like this as everybody eats, but Evan Gattis went 1-for-5 with no runs and no RBIs.
Good to get back to winning, let’s continue it here tonight as there are a few more games that I am loving tonight.

San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies Betting Tips:
Aaron Nola has been a revelation this season. They signed Jake Arrieta to be the Phillies ace, but it turns out it was Nola all along. A 2.17 ERA/2.99 FIP thus far this season he draws a great match-up against the Giants today who are have a .708 against righties this season.
Philly won big last night against the Giants and they could win big again here tonight. While the Phillies haven’t hit lefties all that great this year, I like them to hit Derek Holland who has a 5.70 ERA/4.60 FIP this year.
I like the Phillies in the first five innings here.

Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays Betting Tips:
James Paxton is coming off a 16-strikeout performance in which he absolutely cruised through the Athletics offense, needing only 105 pitches to do it. A lot of times after a game like that you expect a hangover, but that is a pretty low pitch count and I expect him to pick up right where he left off here. They Jays are hitting for a .715 OPS against lefties and I’m not too scared of them in this one.
Seattle’s offense has been near the top of the league all season and their .754 OPS against righties is 7th in all of baseball. They face Marcus Stroman tonight who has had some serious struggles early in the season. He’s been a bit unlucky with a 7.52 ERA/4.40 FIP, but his walks are up and the Mariners can punish him for that. I am loving Seattle to do.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cleveland Indians Betting Tips:
The Brewers haven’t seen anything like Corey Kluber this season and I don’t expect that to go well for them. The Klubot has a 2.41 ERA/3.65 FIP/3.00 xFIP and “only ” 9.17 K/9. There is definitely room for that number to go up. The Brewers only have a .701 OPS (22nd) against righties this year. While I think that number is due to come up (Eric Thames is out), that is not happening tonight.
He goes against Wade Miley who has had an ERA over 5 the last two seasons. He’s only had one start this season and looked good, but it’s only a matter of time with this guy. He’s an innings eater who gives up runs. The Indians have a .727 OPS (14th) against lefties on the year and that’s with some big bats that have under performed early.
I’m taking the Indians first five here.
