A 1-1 record last night.
The Raptors evened their series with the Celtics 1-1 after a 100-93 win last night. The team shot much better from three than they hae and Kyle Lowry had his best game of the series with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. The Raptors game plan seems to be “play our starters all the time” which is nice to see when a team like the Bucks refuses to up the minutes on their starters.
Denver-Los Angeles was the rare game that was decided in the first quarter. The Nuggets came out firing with a 44-point outburst in the first while the Clippers scored 25. The Clippers scored more the rest of the way, but the lead was so big that it did not matter. Denver was the more aggressive team and Paul George and Kawhi Leonard had a tough night from the field. I really wanted to take the Nuggets, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Instead I took the over which looked easily in hand in the first half, but a quiet second half took it away. Denver had 72 in the first half then just 38 in the second half.
I’ve come around on these playoffs and am now just rooting for total anarchy. The Bucks go out, the Rockets upset the Lakers, and, hopefully, the Nuggets upset the Clippers. The status quo has been top seeds in this league for so long that it’d be nice to see some wackiness.
The Bucks try to avoid a sweep today while the Lakers will try and avoid falling down 0-2 to the Rockets.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Miami Heat Betting Tips:
Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable for this game and if he doesn’t play, the Bucks are hopeless. He tweaked his ankle in the last game and it was noticeably bothering him late as the Heat rolled all over them. He’s been reported to be limping around the bubble and I’m just not sure I can see him risking it here.
Plus, I’ve said this whole time that the key for the Bucks is to play Giannis more minutes. Well, with a bad ankle that becomes a really stupid thing to do. The Bucks have to protect Giannis here and, unfortunately for them, that means getting swept.
Miami has been amazing and has game planned this thing perfectly. Jimmy Butler has been outstanding and I can really see him smelling blood in the water here and finishing it off.
Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Tips:
The Rockets showed why I think they can win this series in the first game. They played great defense and the Lakers offense looked lost. They got great performances out of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, and looked like a team that can actually do this thing.
The pressure is on the Lakers here and they are a -6 favorite heading into this. I was surprised to see that the sportsbooks didn’t budge here, but they don’t get rich by overreacting to one game. I do think that is a mistake though and the Rockets are once again a great bet at +6.
For the Lakers to make a game of this, they need more from LeBron and Davis. That means a slower game, defense, and more playing through the post. They aren’t going to bomb threes against this team because they don’t have the personnel. The Rockets defense is for real though and it will not be easy for them to succeed offensively. I’m looking for a lower end scoring game.
These two teams have gone under in three of their past four match-ups and I think we’ll see that again here.
