An excellent winning day yesterday with my NHL Bets.
Let’s hope that the golf tips that were in the same post do just as well considerng we’ve got some bets at 200/1 and 100/1. That would be nice. Have all of them place in the Top 8 please.
Both the over 5 picks in the Islanders vs Panthers game and Predators vs Coyotes games ended up being a push as they both hit 5.
I was happy to see the Panthers offenes come alive like I was expecting though.
We won with the Canadiens or Draw bet. I was very tempted to take the Canadiens outright there however it was nice to take it safe and meant less pressure at the end. Great win for Montreal.
I also won with Oilers/Blackhawks Over 6.5. Let’s hope our hot run continues.
Three qualifying games today. Let’s get to it:
NHL August 6th, 2020 Bets:
1u on Wild to win incl OT/SO at -115. While Minnesota lost against the Canucks in Game 2 and probably deservedly so based on the advanced metrics, I felt they might have been a bit complacent early.
They came back in the third period and looked better and I think we see them carry that sort of performance over into this game and start out hot. Having obviously watched both games, I feel the Wild are the better team and will get back on track here.
1u on Blue Jackets to win at +135 odds. This is such a tough one honestly because the Leafs have the ability to win this game at will if they want. You saw Game 2. They fought for every puck and played so incredibly well.
It’s frustrating because you really have to wage up the value in the odds and whether it is worth it betting against the Leafs. We also have to factor in that Korp has been fantastic and that if he has an off game it could be lights out for the Jackets.
However I think back to the NHL playoffs last year. Leafs came out like that Game 1 against the Bruins however Boston were able to adjust. It’s almost like it catches teams off guard. I am hoping the Jackets have learned to adjust and will take them to pull off the upset here.
4u on Flames in Regulation at +100 odds. The Calgary Flames have the opportunity to progress here and I believe they will be able to take it.
The Jets just have too many injuries. Laine and Scheifele being out is tough. They had that one game that they were fired up on and responded well however they struggled following that and I think this is the final nail in the coffin.
I think the Flames take this one and progress.
