Well what the NHL lacked in quantity of games yesterday, it made up for in quality with two absolute bangers.
The Detroit Red Wings were expected to get thumped by the Colorado Avalanche and instead they took a 1-0 lead that probably scared quite a few people. However the Avs came out strong in the 2nd and ended up up 4-1, before a final result of 6-3 with an empty netter by MacKinnon.
The Panthers vs Wild game was a great one. 1-1, then 2-2, then an incredible 3rd period where the Minnesota Wild took the leade 4-3 only for the Panthers to come back and win it with 5 seconds left.
Incredible game.
As the all star break looms, we have five games on Tuesday, January 21st that I will go through and analyze and hopefully find the odd betting tip or two for y’all.

NHL Bets: January 21st, 2020
Islanders at Rangers: The trilogy game. These two teams have played twice recently and the Rangers came out winners both times. Yet the Islanders are favourites? smdh. If the Islanders pull out the win then hey fair play to them – great job lads. However I don’t see how we can’t bet on the New York Rangers to win here! Yeah the Islanders were frantic with shots last time around but their xG was still the same which suggests as I thought – they were too rushed and under pressure. I see it being similar here. 2u on the Rangers at +110 odds.
Knights at Bruins: The Bruins have been inconsistent lately and just lost to the Penguins 4-3 in a tight one. The Knights have slowly attempted to turn things around but are still struggling. Boston definiteyl have issues and it’s not motivation. They look motivated. They’re beginning to question themselves and that’s not a good sign for the team when there is no easy solution. This should be a high scoring one with the Bruins frantic to score and the Knights having a solid ability to score. 1u on Over 6 at +100 incl OT/SO
Jets at Hurricanes: The Hurricanes offense is dreadful lately. The Jets are a bad, bad team at the moment as well however. I think the Hurricanes offensive woes is enough to back the Jets here. The Canes play in a particular fashion and the Jets usually match up well with it. 1u at +170 odds
Penguins at Flyers: This seems like a nice spot for the Penguins. However Philly are an excellent home team. I think right here what you will have is two teams desperate for a win and a big score, and this should be a big high scoring game in my opinion. I’m quite happy with 1u on Over 6 Goals incl OT/SO
Panthers at Blackhawks: Can you bet anything BUT the over in this one? No I don’t think so. Both games between the teams in 2018 were explosive and there isn’t that much changed in them. Both score for fun. 2u on Over 6 incl OT/SO
