Another night of exciting Tuesday night hockey action is upon us.
We have a whopping 13 games on the card. What a busy night it is. Sandwiched between multiple nights of two games too. Always so odd that.
Lot of interesting games of course. Can the Leafs turn it around against the Knights? Not a bad place to get fired though. Imagine Babcock gets fired in Vegas? Dude would just stay there a month and party it up.
Let’s look at todays NHL action shall we and quick thoughts on every game…
Bruins at Devils: Devils come into this one with confidence after that win over the Canadiens. Bruins continue to struggle as they haven’t won in regulation since November 4th. I mean technically they beat the Leafs but it’s the Leafs. They don’t count right now. Devils put faith in Blackwood over the last couple days. Tough one and I’m going out on a limb and saying to bet the game in OT.
Wild at Sabres: Sabres still struggling. Minnesots are starting to look like a good team. I see this game as a total coinflip honestly. I think it’s 50/50 that Minnesota win and as the odds are 50/50 it’s no bet for me. I’d slightly lean Minnesota though.
Canadiens at Jackets: Great win for Montreal over the Capitals. It was a hard fought point against the Devils. Jackets are a tight and tough team. I would say the over in this one except these two teams don’t have much high scoring games historically. Slight edge to Montreal here although the odds reflect that so not sure it’s worth a bet. Maybe another game you throw to go to OT.
Islanders at Penguins: Last time these two teams played the Penguins mounted the big comeback. Now Islanders have mounted a comeback against the Pens rivals, the Flyers. It’s marginal but I like the over 5.5 goals here.
Flyers at Panthers: Panthers continue to be a fighting team and you can count on them to put up the goals. However Flyers have been a bit tighter defensively and in net lately. Slight lean on the over here.
Senators at Red Wings: The odds seem about right here. Detroit have been excellent and deserve to be favourites. Could be a hard fought game for the over but I don’t think Ottawa offense has it in them.
Lightning at Blues: Are Tampa for real or not? Jets looked great against them. Blues I think are finally missing Tarasenko and that loss to the Ducks will send them on a downward spiral. Not a big fan of Tampa right now but I am all about Tampa in regulation. Blues offense has been seriously stuttering and they won’t be able to keep up with Tampa.
Jets at Predators: Have to go with the value here. Predators are having some serious issues and there is ridiculous value on the Jets here. Jets to win.
Hurricanes at Blackhawks: On paper this one goes over six ways from Sunday but looking at recent games between the teams that’s just not something that happens. So a very slight lean on the over.
Canucks at Stars: Stars are for real. Canucks are a good team but I like the Stars a lot here. Stars in regulation. They’ve provem themselves.
Avalanche at Flames: Winnable game for the Flames but I ain’t backing them right now.
Leafs at Knights: Have to expect a big effort from both teams I’ll take the over here.
Oilers at Sharks: I think Sharks are the better team but cant count Oilers out.
