Sports are great aren’t they? I mean a month ago Tuesdays were boring. Now we’ve got a night full of 10 hockey games. That’s following on from last nights Monday Night Football action.
Then we’ve got basketball starting back soon too.
With such a busy night in the NHL I thought it’d be fun to go through and give predictions for every game where applicable. Feel free to pick a few and parlay it up.
All the games start within the same two hour window too. Crazy. Hope you have a man cave full of TVs.
NHL Bets: October 22nd, 2019
Coyotes at Rangers: I’ve been waiting for the Rangers to get rolling but they just haven’t been able to yet. Now they’re going up against the Coyotes who are starting to look like the real deal this season. Coyotes only have the one win on the road in regulation thus far though against the hapless Jets. I lean towards the Coyotes here.
Penguins at Panthers: The Penguins were held goalless against the Knights however they have been excellent offensively other than that. I expect goals from them tonight. Panthers are a team always fighting and they have Barkov able to play. I’m absolutely loving the Over 5.5.
Sharks at Sabres: It was a hard fought win from the Sabres when these two played just a couple of days ago. Now the Sabres are at home and are just -110? Look Sharks this season have looked both good and bad. Sabres only good. I’ve got to bet the Sabres here.
Leafs at Bruins: Leafs are battling hard without Tavares and picked up the win against the Bruins at home. However Bruins have a little losing streak going – albeit both in overtime – and should be motivated here. I think Bruins take this one.
Canucks at Red Wings: Red Wings will hope to put that godawful Western Canada road trip behind them as the Canucks come to town. Canucks aren’t the perfect team either though. This is a coin flip of a game in my opinion. No play.
Ducks at Predators: Nashville have been very inconsistent to start the season. They seem like a volatile team to bet. The Ducks have been mostly good to start the year. Ducks are big underdogs when they shouldn’t be. Nashville are that team that on any given night anyone can beat them, and when a team is +150 odds against them you’ve gotta back the value on the Ducks to win.
Oilers at Wild: Minnesota got a much needed win against the Habs. However the Oilers have been excellent to start the season and although I struggle to back them at times, I’ve got to take Oilers win here.
Kings at Jets: I’ve got to think this game is one the Jets will be up for. This is the perfect game to get rolling and build on that Oilers win. Jets to win.
Knights at Blackhawks: I’d like to say the Knights bounce back after last night but they aren’t really looking like a bounce back team so far this season. In saying that Gallant is calling out certain players after that loss. I’m flip flopping between Knights win and the over. I can’t call this one.
Capitals at Flames: Washington are rolling right now and got off to a good win over the Blackhawks. They’re conceding goals though and Flames should be up for this. I’m going with Over 6 Goals.
