Welcome to the free betting tips for Wednesday, August 7th!
We’ve got a good mix of betting tips this week. I’ll be covering the weekly golf betting tips on the PGA Tour with the Fedex Cup Playoff season beginning. I’ll also be looking at a couple of English Premier League games that are taking place.
Last week we came very close in the Wyndham Championship to at least a top 5 finish with the 60/1 Rory Sabbatini. It was looking good but then he bogeyed on the 17th which killed it for us. Absolutely gutting that one was and he finished 1 stroke off, tied for 6th.
This week we’ve got the Northern Trust which is at Liberty National. Last PGA Tournament here was The Barclays in 2013.
Let’s get on with that:
Northern Trust Bets:
I’m making three bets this week.
All of them are to win and top 5.
The first one is Collin Morikawa. He’s going to be coming in hot. He didn’t have the best time at the Wyndham but that last round was excellent and so you have to think he’ll be coming in with all the momentum this week. His Greens in Regulation ability should make him a factor for this tournament.
I’m doing a small bet on Patrick Cantlay. I don’t want to. I really don’t. But the metrics and the odd make it a bet. One that I personally don’t like but I can’t argue with the numbers.
Finally an underdog pick on the 225/1 Sepp Straka. I think he could be a contender here and he was killing it at the Wyndham until the last round.
I was very very close to backing Jon Rahm. Think he might be a contender this week. Decided not to however as at 16/1 I just don’t think it’s worth it. Rahm is a tricky one to back honestly.
EPL Bets August 10th, 2019
I’ve analyzed 3 games so far this weekend. Prior to the season beginning I feel you are just looking for teams that are undervalued more than anything else.
I’m taking Bournemouth to win over Sheffield United. Bournemouth can be a solid team. Sheff Utd will have to change their tactics no doubt from the Championship where they attacked more. That sort of thing won’t work for them in the EPL and I think it will take some adjustment. I see nice value on Bournemouth here and they could be a good bet all season if Callum Wilson remains healthy.
I really like Southampton to beat Burnley. I think the philosophies of Ralph Hassenhuttl will be exceppent for Southampton and I liked their pre-season prep. The way they utilize Bertrand and Valery is excellent and I see that being a big problem for Burnley, who are rather dull tactically. I like Soton to get the victory.
I’m also taking Everton to score in the second half. Marco Silva loves to focus on the cardio and so they will be the fitter team here. I see similar strategy as last year where the first half is just whatever it is and then Everton come out flying in the second half.
