A 1-1 record last night.

The Pelicans finally got their second win of the season last night and it was also a win for us. They were playing at Charlotte and had a huge fourth quarter, 34-24, to pull out the 115-110 win. The team got J.J. Redick back for this one which was absolutely huge for the offense. Redick poured in 22 points here and the team was led by Brandon Ingram with 25 points.

We also had the over in the Bulls and Rockets game. This one was out of reach early if you can imagine that and we probably should’ve just went Rockets here. Their defense was due for a great game and they got it here. As predicted, James Harden had a monster game with 42 points, 9 assists, and 10 rebounds. The Rockets won 117-94 which was a long ways off from the 233 total.

A pretty even weekend so far with our tips. Let’s finish it off strong with some wins today.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Tips:

The Suns have been one of the feel good stories of the early season as they have played exceptionally. Bringing in Ricky Rubio was a great move this offseason as he’s the type of player that just makes everything work better. His shooting isn’t going to win you any championships, but he’s so good at every other part of the game that teams are just better when he is on the floor. The same can be said to a lesser extent of Aron Baynes, who does all the little things to make an offense work. Combine guys like that with stars like Devin Booker and you’re onto something.

The Brooklyn Nets did things the opposite way. They had a team full of solid role players and then added Kyrie Irving to the mix this season. The results have been mixed for them thus far as the offense has really poured it in, but the defense is allowing it at nearly the same rate.

Both of these teams will play fast and score big points. The Nets are scoring 120 per game while the Suns are at 114 per game. This total is even set a bit low when I think about what these offenses are capable of doing. 240 total points is not out of reach, bet the over.

Toronto Raptors vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Tips:

The Raptors got a huge loss as Kyle Lowry is going to be out for awhile and Serge Ibaka is also out indefinitely. Thanks to those two injuries, the Raptors are a huge underdog in this one at +10.5.

I just don’t see it though. The Raptors were built on depth and despite the loss, they still have their best player in Pascal Siakam and a bigger load for Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Marc Gasol, and Norman Powell is not a bad thing.

Plus, you have the whole thing where a team loses a player and really rallies together to play hard. We see that time and time again. It’s only after the depth issues come into play that teams struggle with an injury like this.

Yes, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are scary and they are the two best players in this game, but I think the Raptors can put up a fight tonight. Ten points is a lot in this league.
