An 0-1 last night.
The Mavericks went on the road and lost to the Knicks last night. We took the Mavs for a variety of reasons, but this team just went ice cold in the fourth quarter as they only managed 16 points in the fourth quarter. For comparison, they scored 30 in the second quarter and 34 in the third quarter. Luka Doncic had a huge game here with 33 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. It wasn’t enough though.
We move onto the weekend which has been our time to shine of late. We’ve had some good records over the past couple of weekends so hopefully we can keep it going here.
Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Tips:
The Warriors without Steph Curry and Draymond Green are basically a really good NBA G-League team right now. They have some players that might be good in the future, but in his current state of the NBA they are completely over-matched. They don’t have much to speak of in the way of defense so they try to make up for it with a fast pace and scoring a lot of points.
That might work against some teams, but it’s not going to work against the Boston Celtics. Boston currently has the top Offensive Rating in the league with the 11th ranked Defensive Rating. They are a solid team on both ends of the floor and attempting to outscore them isn’t going to work here. The team looked good last time out without Gordon Hayward, and I think they have the depth and ball movement to continue to perform well.
I try not to go against these bottom feeders of the league too often, but tonight is just too good to pass up.

Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Tips:
The Lakers return to glory has been one of the top storylines of the early season. LeBron James has looked the best he has in years (which is saying something) and Anthony Davis has come just as advertised.
The only thing about them is, they’ve had it pretty easy so far. Among their wins you can count Charlotte, Memphis, and Golden State. They haven’t really played the elite teams of the NBA outside of the Clippers and Jazz, so their record is a little bloated. Are they a good team? Absolutely. Are they the next Lakers dynasty? Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves.
They play the Kings tonight who have really gotten things back on track after a rough start. They’ve won four of their past five games and are really starting to come together as a team and that’s without De’Aaron Fox.
I am thinking the Lakers probably win this one, but I really think they are being overrated by the sportsbooks here. They are the better team, but they don’t have nearly the depth that they should be favored by 10+ points. The shooting is going to be an issue all season and teams will take advantage of that. LeBron and Davis are great, but I don’t think they are winning this one by 10+.
