We are really seeing some amazing things in the NBA every night and we shouldn’t take it for granted. We are really watching some great players who are going to go down in the history books as some of the greatest of all time.
For example, second-year player Luka Doncic posted 42 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds. He is the second youngest player to post a 40-point triple-double after LeBron James. He has six triple-doubles in 13 games this season. Oh, and he’s not even 21. We are all witness to Doncic.
We also saw the Rockets continue their winning streak behind another strong game from James Harden and a great return by Russell Westbrook. Harden had 36 points in the game which is actually down from his season average of 39.2 per game. Westbrook added a triple-double with 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
There are great performances night in and night out in this league and it’s really great to see. Don’t miss it.
NBA Betting Tips:
Portland Trail Blazers at New Orleans Pelicans: The Blazers had an ugly loss last night as their lack of front court and defense is really hurting them right now. They need help and they are going to get it in the form of injuries tonight.
The Pelicans are beyond beat up right now. Derrick Favors and Josh Hart are out, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball are questionable, and even back-ups like Frank Jackson and Jahlil Okafor are listed as questionable. There is just no depth here and the veteran leadership of Lillard and McCollum should be able to exploit that here.
At full strength I might like the Pelicans here, but as things stand it looks like the Blazers will get a win.
College Football Betting Tips:
Eastern Michigan at Northern Illinois: Northern Illinois is figuring out their run game just in time to throw a major wrench in MAC. They had the big upset over Toledo last week behind a 222 rushing yards performance. They will look to continue their strong finish with a win here.
The thing about Eastern Michigan is, their defensive stinks and they can’t defend the run. They are allowing 435 yards per game to the opposing team’s offense and have been pushed around by better offenses. Northern Illinois has a chance at a bowl bid if they are able to win out and I think they are going to take that first step here.
NCAA Basketball Betting Tips:
East Tennessee State at Kansas: This is a weird line to me because Kansas is one of the very best teams in the country while East Tennessee State is not that. ETSU only have two players over 6-7 on the roster which will cause problems for them defensively. They have some quick guards, but nothing matching Ochai Agbaji or Devon Dotson.
Honestly, this line should be 20+. Kansas lost their opener to Duke, another one of the best teams in the country, and has looked dominant since. ETSU’s best win is against something called Newberry. Exactly, Kansas by 20+.
