The group stages of the UEFA Europa League are getting down to the wire.
Unlike the Champions League, there is no third place consolation prize. It’s do or die for a lot of these teams at this point – the top two teams go through and if they don’t make it, they’re out of Europe.
After 4 games a few teams are already through as well. Group A has Bayer Levekusen and Zurich through for example. Then we’ve got tight groups like Group F where Betis are on 8 points, Milan and Olympiacos both on 7. And also groups where any team can make it – such as Group G with Villareal leading the group on 6, but Rapid Wien right in the box at 4 points despite being bottom.
It makes a lot of these games crucial so let’s get to it:
Sevilla vs Standard Liege Betting Tips:
Both teams are in Group J. Sevilla are joint 2nd after a surprise loss to Krasnodar. They’ve thumped every other team though including Standard Liege 5-1.
Liege still have the chance to make it and Sevilla know that – they can completely eliminate them here and then take the top spot when they play Krasnodar at home next.
Sevilla are currently top of La Liga in Spain and are doing an excellent job domestically. In Europe they have been killing teams and their offense is incredible.
I like that to continue here as I just think they are a whole tier above Standard Liege.

Rangers vs Villareal Betting Tips:
Yeah I might be a bit biased but I’ve also paid attention to this group more than any other for obvious reasons and I think Rangers can take this.
You might want to go for Rangers or Draw which is a decent price however Gerrard will have Rangers hyped up for this one. They are an incredible team at home and honestly I am sure Stevie G realized this clash is really the do or die game for Rangers. We go to Rapid Wien in two weeks and that might be a very tough one so the full three points is key here.
Villarreal are struggling domesticaly at the moment and are neare the bottom of La Liga. They’ve did a good job at not losing their last few matches and they have managed to draw in Europe on the road but I just think Rangers will be too powerful for them here.
We’re not missing too many players. Would love to have Ryan Kent in here but it is what it is. We did great against Villarreal in Spain always fighting and I think they struggled with us. We’ve also got a lot of confidence at home.
Of course bias being bias so I’ll stick with 1u. If I was doing Rangers or Draw I’d probably stick more on it. That might be the more sensible bet but I dunno….I just have a feeling we steal it.
