A very nice 2-0 last night.
I love it when a plan comes together. We took the Bucks on the road laying -4.5 because we expected them to right the ship in a lot of ways. They were facing a team that doesn’t shoot the three well while they love shooting the three. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 29 points and 14 rebounds while Eric Bledsoe added 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Bucks won by 32.
The other pick we took was the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets under 244.5 points. Both teams had really had some big scoring nights of late and we were expecting the coaching staff to drill them on defense. I’m not sure that totally happened as this one ended closer than I imagined, but it did safely go under. Kyrie Irving shared the ball a lot more than I imagined he might as he finished with 10 assists and the team was led by Taurean Prince with 27 points.
We’re back at it today looking for teams who need to make some adjustments. Let’s find them, let’s exploit them, and let’s win some money.
Denver Nuggets vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:
The Magic are playing back-to-back here, but the thing I am really looking for is a big effort from the Nuggets. Why? Their coach said this to reporters after their last game.
“We’re a great talk team. We can talk before the season starts about all the things we want to accomplish, and we want to be a contending team. It’s all (expletive). Don’t tell me about it, show me. And right now we’ve got a lot of guys that aren’t showing me much.”
That is the textbook definition of being called out and I’m expecting a big game from the Nuggets here. The defensive effort was called embarrassing and they should really lock down tonight. It helps that the Magic are one of the weaker offensive teams in the league right now so they should be able to.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Portland Trail Blazers Betting Tips:
This game is the fallout for the Joel Embiid/Karl-Anthony Towns fight. Embiid will be suspended for this one as the Sixers head to Portland to play the Blazers.
The Blazer are always a great home team with a really strong crowd. They are 65-28 straight up at home over the past three seasons and 50-38 against the spread. This might’ve been one of the games where you avoid them at home, but without Embiid this is a much different match-up.
The Blazers now have the big man advantage with Hassan Whiteside while I love the scoring of C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard over Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris. The Blazers backcourt duo has done a fantastic job of sharing the scoring load early this season and I am expecting another 55+ combined from them here.
Portland also comes into this one well rested as they haven’t played since the 30th. Neither have the Sixers, but they still had to travel for this one while the Blazers have been sleeping in their own beds.
