An 0-1-1 record last night.
We had the Nuggets -4 last night and they won by 4. They really showed out in the second and third quarters as they held the Magic to just 37 points combined, but in the fourth they were outscored 24-22 which ended up making this one a push.
Sadly, we were also on the wrong side of the biggest comeback of the night. The Blazers led by as much as 21 in their home game against the Sixers last night. Fourth quarters have not been kind to us this season and this one was no different with a 37-26 finish.
The Sixers were without Joel Embiid, but they still managed to stay undefeated here. Ben Simmons had a nice game with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, but he was actually a negative in +/-. The Sixers did their best work with James Ennis III running the point who had 7 points and 7 rebounds with a +13 point differential.
A typical NBA Sunday today with some earlier than usual starts. There is one game that I see a team that is beyond ready to get things sorted out. With another game that I am looking more towards the total. Let’s get into it.
Sacramento Kings vs. New York Knicks Betting Tips:
The Sacramento Kings have had a really rough start to the year as they’ve started 1-5. This team has some real talent in De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Many people expected them to improve on last year’s record with new coach Luke Walton.
Well, it’s been an adjustment. The new coach has cost them early while a preseason trip to India didn’t help either. We wrote about early in the season how the China trip might impact some teams and grabbed some easy wins off of that. Well, it was the same for the Kings.
Sacramento got their first win of the season over the Jazz and are now looking to keep that going against the Knicks tonight. New York is also 1-5 with a very tough schedule to start the season as five of their first six have been against 2018-2019 playoff teams, all losses.
The difference here is the talent and I think the Kings have much more. They beat a very tough Jazz team and are now looking to come in here and get their first dominating win. I think they can do it.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Tips:
The Cavs at 2-2 have been one of the surprises of the young season. Kevin Love has looked like Kevin Love again and you love to see it. His front court mate Tristan Thompson has played his basketball of his life to start the year as well and the two are combining for 28.2 rebounds per game. The team has also gotten some nice improvements from second-year player Collin Sexton. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them steal the eighth seed in the East if they keep this up.
They play the Mavericks today who have put up big points all season long. Their lowest scoring output on the year is 108 and their lowest points allowed on the season is 100. They don’t play low scoring games and they keep a high pace.
Luka Don?i? and Kristaps Porzi??is have been a great combination to start the year with a combined 47 points and 17.6 rebounds per game. They should make the Cavs work today.
I like this game as an over. Cleveland’s season stats are showing a lower number, but that’s because they’ve played Orlando and then Indiana twice. Those are the most slow it down teams in the league right now. The Mavericks are anything but that. This line is set a bit lower than what I expect it to be as 220 total feels very doable here.
