It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for the golf betting tips which we post each week.
We had a decent little week last week where we got some slight profits. Nothing huge but we can’t complain.
We had Kevin Na in a Top 5 finish for the CIMB Classic:
That was a nice one as Na looked very solid throughout and got us the place for the cash.
We also had Kiradech Aphibarnrat in the Turkish Airlines Open. We got tired of saying his name around the offices so we affectionally called him the barn rat. He couldn’t win – a couple strokes off – but it was still an excellent cash for us as seen here:
Finally in the Toshiba Classic, we took Fred Couples for a Top 5 finish. Unfortunately he struggled a bit near the end and while he still won us the bet – he was tied for 5th so it was a dead heat finish lessening the amount of money we actually made. Here’s that slip:
Right – let’s hope for more wins this week as the golf prepares to take a break. Here’s the betting tips for this week:
Champions Tour Betting Tips:
The Champions Tour will wrap up for the 2015 season with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship.
It’s an interesting one to watch and we’re taking 2nd favourite Kenny Perry. Perry is 5/1 and we’ll be backing Perry to win this tournament outright.
He came 2nd here before and is coming into this tournament on some excellent form. He’s racking up the finishes in the top 5 and he knows what it’s like to win – he took down the 3M Championship 2 months ago and we’re backing Perry to do the same here.
WGC Betting Tips:
It’s the WGC HSBC Championship, and Rory McIlroy goes into it as the favourite.
We’re all over Jordan Spieth to win at 8/1. We love the hell out of that price as he’s the best golfer on the course and after rest from the Tour Championship he could really slow up here. Granted he doesn’t have much form here on this course – but we have to go with Spieth.
We’ve got smaller bets on Bubba Watson and Paul Casey. Both of them we have marked and listed as E/W bets so you bet them to win and choose the each way option. Then if they cash in the top 5 we make moolah. can’t beat it.
PGA Tour Betting Tips:
It’s the prestigious Sanderson Farms Championship this week with a whole lot of golfers the casuals won’t know. Don’t blame them really. Not many will be watching this.
We’re doing small quarter unit bets this week. We’re going to back Jason Bohn to win first off. The man is 11//1 and that’s a nice price considering the form he has been in lately. He’s got to be considered a favourite – which he is – and we like him to do it.
We’re also on the defender Nick Taylor and finally Boo Weekley. Those last two bets are both E/W bets.
Have a good week and enjoy the golf.
