It’s October 16th, 2014 and it is a Thursday which means just one thing – FOOTBALL!
Tonight we have an EPIC matchup as it’s the struggling New York Jets vs the revitalized New England Patriots. It was just 3 weeks ago that everyone was saying Brady was done – and now after dominating wins over the Bengals and the Bills they’ve suddenly changed their tune.
Should be a great game.
We’ve also got a lot of NHL action tonight that we are excited for, so without further ado let’s get into the betting tips for October 16th, 2014:
Jets vs Patriots Betting Tips:
Quite the point spread, with the Jets at +9.5.
It’s a tricky one – the Jets looked really bad against San Diego, but solid against Denver and it could have been closer. They’ve kept most games nice and tight.
The Over/under is also an interesting one. It opened at 52 points but has pushed all the way down to 44.5. The reason for that is it is just pouring rain at the moment.
It’s a tricky game – but we think the Jets can stay in it just enough. However we’d love the full 10 points in case of a push, and that’s what we’re going to go with. See the sportsbook linked below that is currently offering Jets +10 for a nice -115 price that is fair. If you can’t get that – +9.5 is okay, but we’d recommend getting the +10 for safety.
NHL Betting Tips: Grand Salami
The Grand Salami is one of our favourite bets – where we are betting the Over or Under for all the NHL goals that evening. Betting the over is a blast because you are just flicking through the games and don’t care who wins – as long as there are goals.
Our system tonight predicts it being a high scoring night with only one game that looks to go under, which is Colorado vs Ottawa.
The Salami is 39.5 which works out to about 5.6 goals per game and we feel there are enough contenders tonight for a high over. Sharks vs Islanders, Devils vs Capitals, Stars vs Penguins, Hurricanes vs New Rangers. All of these have high potential to be big scoring games.

Blues vs Kings Betting Tips
After a poor opening, Kings have looked really really good in their last couple of games. St Louis haven’t played in like 5 freaking days – that’s a long time off this early in the season.
LA are looking very solid now, and match up very well against the St. Louis Blues over the years.
We are tipping the LA Kings to beat the Blues tonight. The price is -125 and if you like to play it safe, bet that. If you like to bet for value, it’s +EV to bet the Kings +135.
