It was a 1-1 start to the NBA Tips with a wee bit of luck involved.
We had Raptors -7 and that one went to overtime in a thriller before they marched home with a 130-122 win to cover the spread. Considering last season we lost way too many picks by being on the other side of those – hopefully that’s a good sign for this season.
Clippers vs Lakers unfortunately didn’t come over with a total of 214. Clippers got a nice and easy win as the Lakers went to sleep in the 4th.
It’s Wednesday, October 23rd in the NBA and a whole host of games taking place.
Let’s get to it:
Bulls vs Hornets Betting Tips:
I admit I don’t watch too much of pre-season NBA. I usually just catch the highlights and then see if anything jumps out at me. The Chicago Bulls did.
Zach LaVine especially I think is going to be a big player for them this season. That dude just looks motivated and a natural team leader. He had a good season last year and I really think he is going to build on that and really bring it this year.
I think the Bulls are going to surprise quite a few people this year. Jim Boylen has been hard on them as he wants success and I think these players are not going to be wanting to go in that locker room down at all.
Coby White is looking good. The Hornets of course have lost Jeremy Lamb and Kemba Walker. They do have some potential and guys like Malik Monk may make an impact down the road.
However to start the season? I’ve got to think Bulls get off to a winning start.
Bulls -3
Pacers vs Pistons Betting Tips:
Pacers were another team that stood out to me during pre-season. They look like a squad with something to prove. They’ve got a new look to them and they just look hungry.
Pistons are without Blake Griffin and that is going to hurt them. Pacers look like they have the guys that can put up the points and as long as the Pacers defense is awake tonight, they should have no problem logging a double digit victory over the Pistons.
Guys like Malcolm Brogdon should be able to get the points here. They will be without Victor Oladipo to start the season but that’s okay – gotta ease him into it.
Pacers -7.5
