Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, October 24th, 2016.
I know some of you come to check out your free sports betting tips on a Monday and expect me to go on about the NFL. Well, normally I would rave about Carson Wentz and how he helped lead the Eagles to victory against the previously undefeated Vikings. I might even get a bit incredulous that the Chargers have won again and away from home, too. Or maybe even the Seahawks and the Carinals somehow finishing in a 6-6 tie after some terrible FG kicking. But now, I want to mention how Jose Mourinho was found out by Antonio Conte’s Chelsea side at the weekend. I’m sure I mentioned previously how Mourinho needs time to put his stamp on this Manchester United side, but things might start getting ugly with the fans if results continue to go like this. Mourinho frustrated the fans last Monday with his defensive set-up against Liverpool, and he tried that again, only to be found out after 30 seconds – after that, his game plan went out the window and Chelsea ran riot. The arguments over Wayne Rooney suddenly pale in comparison to what is going to be going on at Old Trafford now, that’s for sure.
Look at the golf results, and hopefully you followed Graeme on backing Matsuyama, as he finished second in the CIMB Classic in Malaysia. His selection of Stephen Gallagh in Portugal was unlucky, as he wasn’t too far off the pace, but there were some ridiculously low scores being carded, and although he put in a solid -17 after four rounds, you can’t do much to beat the -23 of Padraig Harrington. And if you followed his Formula 1 tips, well, Lewis Hamilton came in easily in front of Nico Rosberg to give us a nice win there.
Tonight, we’ll look at Monday Night Football with the Broncos hosting the Texans, and also the NHL which has mad a welcome return to our screens and our sportsbooks.
So, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for October 24th, 2016.
Texans vs Broncos Betting Tip
The 4-2 Texans take on your 2016 Super Bowl winners the Denver Broncos, who are also 4-2 in Monday Night Football action. It’s interesting both sides have identical records, although what’s telling is that the Texans are 0-2 on the road this season so far. The Broncos are 2-1 at home and on the road, also.
This game might just be won by the best rushing offence, and that seems to favour the Broncos, purely because the Texans can’t cope with a good ground game. That being said, it’s not been a great couple of games recently for the Broncos, and without the star that is Peyton Manning at the help, Trevor Siemian has had to try and steady the ship – he’s not done that too effectively. So I think this is going to be close, and since I can see a lot of rushing, this could keep it close, so take Texans +7.5 tonight in what looks like being a close game on paper.
NHL Betting Tips
We only have two games tonight on the ice, but it looks like being a couple of decent ones, especially to have a wager on.
First up, Flyers vs Canadiens over 5 goals looks a good play here. The Flyers put six goals past the Hurricanes, and are averaging just under 4 goals a game, putting them 3rd in offence in the league. As for the Habs, their 4 goals a game average is actually leading the league. The stats don’t lie, it looks like a high-scoring game tonight, so 6 goals or more looks very achievable.
Flames against the Blackhawks is the other game of the evening, and although both sides have had a slow start to the season, the one thing that stands out is how well Chicago has gone at home, with a 3-1 record on home ice. As for the Flames, just one win this season puts them at the bottom of the league rankings, and they have been poor, it’s safe to say. Blackhawks in regulation is the definite pick here, just because the Flames are awful and the Blackhawks are actually decent at home.
