In todays tips I’m going to cover a lot of action. Sports are in full flow at the moment and I love it – think I am going to burn my TV out with all that’s going on.
I mean we’ve got golf, NBA, NHL, CFL, Soccer, MLB Playoffs. Oh and UFC are now going to be airing a show every weekend for 8 straight weeks.
We live in a glorious time. So let’s hop right into the betting tips for this week:
Golf Bets:
In the HSBC Champions tournament I’m first of all backing Dustin Johnson to win. DJ is great on this course and for him a lot of it is about motivation. It’s been a good few months since he last won a tournament and I’ve got to think he is going to be fired up after that Ryder Cup disaster plus all the drama involving that.
I’m then doing two smaller bets on Matthew Fitzpatrick and Pat Perez. Both of these are to win AND a bet of them finishing in the top 5.
They’re speculative bets but both have performed well here and come in with decent enough form. Perez in particular had a strong finish at the CJ Cup and that may just continue here.
In the Sanderson Farms I’ve got 3 bets. My main bet is Hunter Mahan who performs well in the wind and has performed good here previously. Then two smaller bets on Aaron Baddeley and Shawn Stefani.
All bets are to win and top 5.
CFL Bets:
Stampeders +3.5: Man when do you get the chance to back the Stampeders as underdogs? Have to go with Calgary here to end the Bombers streak. As the post season looms I see Calgary really getting on the ball here.
Redblacks +3.5: If Ottawa win they are guaranteed first place. Hamilton have their injuries and at this point I believe they’ll limp into the post season now after last weeks loss just hoping to remain healthy.
Lions +4: If the BC Lions want in the playoffs they need a win here. They’re on a roll at the moment and this is a big one. Saskatchewan are close to taking over the top spot. Either way this should be a close game and I’ll go with Lions +4.
NHL Bets:
Leafs/Jets Over 6.5 Goals: I like the Leafs offense to put their woes aside and get back on track here. You can’t keep this offense down. Neither goalie is perofrming that great and the Jets are having to score more than they concede so it seems like a fast paced high scoring game is on the boards.
Tampa To Win Including Overtime/Shootout: Avs have been performing well but I just think the Lightning have more depth to them. Avalanche are like the Bruins at the moment where they are riding their top line. That can work against a lot of teams but not a team with the depth of Tampa.
NBA Bets:
Raptors -7.5: How can you bet against the Raptors at the moment? They look incredible and I’ll be backing them for as long as this streak continues. They’re just a team that are really gelling already and playing well and yet despite all that I think there is more to come.
Lakers -3.5: LeBron ain’t going 0-4. Nuff said.
