Well it was a solid outing for the Scottish clubs in Europe. Rangers got a draw in a tough spot and Celtic got a win over Lazio. Impressive stuff.
I’ll be covering the Scottish Premier League action again this week.
Celtic moved to the joint top of the table with a big win over Ross County as predicted. Rangers drew with Hearts and both teams are tied on points and goal difference. Hopefully this keeps up – nice to have a title race for once.
Amazingly only 4 teams in Scotland have a positive goal difference (with two at exactly 0).
St. Johnstone are still seeking their first win and are bottom of the table.
We’ve got four games on board on Saturday. Then Sunday Rangers and Celtic take the field with an extra day off due to the European games.
Let’s get to it:
Hibs vs Ross County Betting Tips:
Hibs have scored just 8 goals in 9 games this season. Their main issue is that they can create the chances but just can’t finish them. However I expect them to have a whole host of chances against Ross County, and I am banking on them being able to finish them.
Hibs home form has actually not been bad. They beat St Mirren and got draws against celtic and St Johnstone. In saying that Ross County haven’t been too shabby away so we can’t count them out.
I do think Hibs will create enough chances though that they should be able to put their goalscoring woes aside here. If they had a solid finisher they would be dangerous.

St Johnstone vs Hamilton Betting Tips:
Very similar game here to the above one. St. Johnstone create the chances but just can’t score. I was thinking Stevie May would get rolling but that wasn’t the case last week.
Hamilton concede a boatload of chances. It’s a tricky one because St Johnstone – if they could just start converting some chances – would be lethal. It’s tough to back them but I think they have to start putting them in soon. This is one I’d probably ignore if not for the chances Hamilton give up. Not a big fan of the odds though.

Kilmarnock vs St Mirren Betting Tips:
St Mirren have lost all four of their away games. They are another team who have been struggling to score but finally got it going last week against St Johnstone. This will be a tougher one though as Kilmarnock have a tight albeit overperforming defense.
I think Killie are just too strong for them. With the matches involving the Old Firm this is a good spot for Killie to move up the table and I am going to back them to do just that.
