Some good soccer action yesterday.
Chelsea thumped Burnley 4-0 away in dominating fashion. We had that one so that was nice. Alas we also had Arsenal to beat Palace and that one ended up being a 2-2 draw.
Worse is it came at the 83rd minute via a penalty. Arsenal were up 2-1 till they tied it up. Brutal.
In Ligue 1 it was a good win for PSG who beat Marseille 2-0 away. Serie A saw AC Milan run out 3-2 winners over Sampdoria and Napoli and Roma drew 1-1.
Today I am going to look at two big games taking place. In the English Premier League we’ve got Tottenham Hotspur hosting Manchester City And in Serie A, Lazio host Inter Milan.
Let’s get to it:
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City Betting Tips
Spurs go into this one having won two of their home games but losing 2-1 to Liverpool. City are unbeaten on the road with 2 wins and 2 draws. Interestingly they were hold 0-0 against Liverpool.
In the league Manchester City can go joint top with a win. They are currently third with the best offensive record and best defensive records in the league. Spurs could go above them and take joint 2nd with a win. They have conceded just 7 goals in 9 games but their attack isn’t exactly lighting things up.
The over is tempting however I am still hurt after that Liverpool game. In saying that Man City came out to defend that one and did an excellent job of it. I’d be fearful of the Liverpool attack too.
I just think City, despite not being top of the league, are still doing an excellent job. Spurs meanwhile are a bit of a mess at the moment. They’re still winning but you don’t see the confidence in them where you think yeah this is a title contender. Look at their struggles against PSV for example. They just have a lot of issues.
End of the day based on this season so far City are a tier above Spurs. I think Spurs struggling offense will have issues here against the tight City defense and that Man City take it.

Lazio vs Inter Milan Betting Tips:
Inter come in on to this one on a nice little run with some solid performances. They have won 3 out of 4 away with one loss. Lazio have also won 3 out of 4 at home with one loss. Lazio would have a great run going too if not for that 3-1 loss to Roma.
Two excellent teames facing off. Both are right among the top teams. Well – the top teams minus Juventus. Inter are 3rd on 19 points and Lazio are 4th on 18 points. Defense Inter have a slightly better record and they have both scored the same.
Honestly these two teams are extremely similar statistically. Last season we saw a multiple goal thriller between the times but I think it will be tighter. Lazio know they need to be more careful at home against the top teams and I see this being a stalemate.
