It’s Friday, October 2nd and it’s time for the sports betting tips for today.
Well – sort of today. We’ll actually be covering the soccer tomorrow instead. Lot of big games this weekend.
It’s actually a pretty great weekend for sports. We’ve for the soccer and rugby tomorrow, then UFC at night. We’ve also got WWE in Madison Square Garden on the WWE Network and there’s betting available for that.
Then on Sunday we’ve got NFL action.
And in just a few days the NHL is back. Holy moley what an awesome couple of days it is going to be.
So let’s get to the betting tips for Saturday as we cover the soccer. We’ll then have more tips up Saturday morning covering UFC that night and WWE at MSG, as well as the early NFL games.
Barclays Premier League Betting Tips:
We posted and analyzed Lawros Week 8 Tips for those interested.
West Brom are worth a bet against Crystal Palace due to their away form and the odds of 7/2. They’re coming off a bad result against Everton where they blew a 2-0 lead and they’ll be motivated to make amends here. On top of that, they play so much better on the road where they are the underdog and can counter. They’ve got 2 wins and a draw away and have looked very solid in all 3 games. Tony Pulis will have hist eam up for this one more than ever.
Last time these two played at Palace, WBA won 2-0. I like them to sneak a victory here.
Manchester City showed some really strong fighting spirit midweek in the Champions League, and they’ll be coming into this on a high, and ready to get their EPL season back on track. We like them to dominate, and we are going to recommend taking the asian handicap of Man City -2 for this one.
We really like West Ham to beat Sunderland at 7/5 odds. Sunderland have been a disaster this season and although they’ve faced a stiff gauntlet – they’re feeling down coming into this one. West Ham ahve beaten teams like Man City, Newcastle and Liverpool and are just not a team to mess with. They’re 3rd in the league and based on who they have played fully deserve to be. It’s a great price and one we have to go with here.
Finally we like Norwich vs Leicester to be a draw. Both teams have 3 draws this season and both will be happy with that result. Hard to see either team having the dominance to win this one.
Scottish Premier League Betting Tips:
We like both Hearts and Aberdeen tomorrow. Hearts are 4/9 and Aberdeen are 4/7. Not the greatest odds but we’d recommend throwing them in a double. Would be a surprise if both lost their respective games. We’d also recommend Aberdeen -1 because St. Johnstone have looked absolutely hopeless away.
Have to go with Dundee Utd 15/8 to beat Partick Thistle in our final betting tip. Granted it’s hard to bet on Dundee Utd the way they have been playing – but in a crucial game like this we think they will be up for it. And really as bad as they are – Thistle are worst.
