It was a 1-1 day yesterday with the English National League betting tips.
harrogate did the business against Barrow. I knew Harrogate would do the job there and get back on track. They were amazingly down 1-0 at the half but came back to score 4 goals and won the game 4-2.
Bromley were a disappointment against Braintree. I said yesterday their defence was the issue and the usual struggling attack at Braintree managed to put 4 past them in their own 4-2 victory.
Wednesday, October 31st and Happy Halloween to everyone. It’s Fortnite characters for me and my family tonight because my kids are more addicted to that than I am to gambling.
We’ve got a bunch of Scottish Premier League action today so I’m bringing out the xG system and we’ll see what we can conjure up. As weeks go on I feel we’re getting better with it – especially last time in regard to unit sizing so let’s get to it.
SPL Betting Tips: October 31st, 2018
Aberdeen To Win To Nil: 1u. Aberdeen are scoring at their expected rate which means we should see at least one goal from them here and ideally more. Hamilton are scoring at their expected rate but that isn’t very high and only have one goal scored away so far this season. That trend is expected to continue. 2.00 odds.
Celtic To Win & Over 3.5 Goals: 1u.: Honestly this is one where Over 3.5 goals on its own is probably a good bet however I’m going to throw in Celtic to win as you have to expect Celtic to win if this one hits at least 4 goals. Can’t see Dundee scoring 3 or 4! Dundee just have a horrible defence and Celtic are scoring their goals that I expected but are still below their xG. 2.30 odds.
Hibs To Win: 0.5u.. This is one of those games where you expect it to be a cracker yet it often isn’t and I feel like it won’t be here. Hearts have MacLean suspended and Naismith is injured and that should hurt their goalscoring. Hibs look like they can keep their xG rate going (xG 12.19, scored 21) and I’ll back them for a nice value play at 2.87. This one is less about stats though.
Livingston vs St Johnstone – BTTS = No. 0.5u. We’ve got a team not scoring versus a team not conceding. However the price of Under 2.5 goals isn’t really that tempting at 1.57 so we’ll get some better value with Both Teams to Score being no. 1.75 odds for that one.
Rangers -1. 2u. Honestly you could probably bet Rangers -1 the entire season and be a profit. The home/road split for the Gers is absolutely insane. In contrast if this game was at Rugby Park I’d probably back Killie to win. Rangers high scoring rate at home dicates this play over everything else. Until we see that drop this will be a regular bet. 2.20 odds.
St Mirren-Motherwell Under 1.5 Goals: 0.5u. A small play here on this one as we have two poor offenses and neither one seems likely to improve as their goals and xG are on track. 2.75 odds for this one.
