It’s a big, big day here at the Sports Betting Tips offices. NHL is back, the Darts Grand Prix continues and we’ve got not one, not two, not three but FOUR golf tournaments for you as the PGA new season kicks off.
Before we get to the tips – yay, we had a great day yesterday in the MLB. We picked both underdogs and they did the business, as we went 2-0 in MLB for a good profit.
Let’s get to the tips:
NHL: Canadiens vs Leafs Betting Tips
This is one of those tips where we don’t have to think too much about.
The bookies currently have the line at Over 5.5 goals. These two teams rack up the goals against each other and both will want to get opening day wins.
These are always heated affairs and we don’t think too much about it – we take the Overs.
Darts: James Wade vs Robert Thornton
We like Wade to dominate Thornton here and are taking the handicap. Wades average of 94.14 was 6 points greater than Thornton’s 88.13 in the first round. There’s a clear gulf there in the form. Wade also only missed 3 dars to win the legs, and with doubling so important it’s double in and double out.
Finally, Wade leads the head to head 9-5 and is a very emotional player. When he’s happy he plays great – when he’s not, he doesn’t. He’s confident, feeling happy and is the best one to bet here.
Golf: SAS Championship Betting Tips:
We’re going with the following three golfers, all are E/W Bets:
Kirk Triplett 25/1: Consistency is the key for Mr. Triplett. He was very consistent last year at the SAS Championship and came 3rd, and he’s been playing some solid golf lately. You just feel that big tournament win is right within his grasp.
Mark O’Meara 50/1: The dark horse bet – O’Meara still has what it takes, based on his result recently at the Sporting Goods Open. He’s also played well on this course previously.
Russ Cochran 22/1: Last years winner. He has the ability to dominate this course as we’ve seen since 2011.
Golf: LPGA Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia Betting Tips:
Just two female golfers are being bet this week, both EW.
Lexi Thompson 18/1: A great price for last years winner. She has been struggling lately but her form last year at this course was outstanding.
Na Yeon Choi 12/1: Been above average in the LPGA this season, and has had a lot of good results lately. Won this course previously and placed second, and the only reason she wasn’t top 3 last year was a horrible 76 in the first round.
Golf: Portugal Masters Betting Tips
This is the European Tour, and we are going with the following 3:
Shane Lowry 14/1: We’re a bit concerned the pressure of being favourite will get to him, but the winner here 2 years ago has been on a nice run lately and we’d be fools not to back him.
Ross Fisher 45/1: Fisher hasn’t been good lately on the tour, but this is a great course for him to upset the odds. He’s did well here in previous years and is worth the bet at those odds.
Tommy Fleetwood 18/1: Very consistent in the European Tour lately. He struggles at this course, but he does seem like a completely diffferent golfer at the moment and we’ll be backing him.
All of these are E/W.
Golf: PGA Frys.com Open
This is a tricky one. Opening of the 2015 season, and it’s on a course that hasn’t been used for PGA in decades.
We’re going to go with Brookes Koepka 28/1 and Jimmy Walker 14/1 EW and that’s it.
Definitely not the easiest one to predict.
