Welcome to Wednesday. Sorry the tips are a bit late today for the golf. Honestly I’ve been debating on and off all day whether to cover just the John Deere Classic or also add in the olympics.
I ended up bouncing some ideas off a few people in regard to the olympics, reading a whole bunch and I’ve picked just one golfer to follow for that.
However we do also have John Deere betting tips. No Champions Tour this week even though it’s the Senior Open Championshp.
Honestly when it comes to the Champions Tour this year – well I don’t want to say I don’t care about it this season but for some reason it’s just not grabbed my interest as opposed to previous years.
Alright so onto this weeks golf, and some bonus CFL as well. We went 2-2 last week in the CFL. Better than 0-4!
In the Olympics golf, I’m taking Bubba Watson and his odds of 16/1 make him worth a bet to win & E/W.
A lot of it is just a feeling – I mean I’ve watched the interviews with the top contenders in the run up to the Olympics. There’s been a lot of negativity etc but when I see Bubba he actually seems excited for the Olympics. He seems up for it and I have no doubt he has been studying this course in the run up to it to figure out how best to handle it.
However I also think Bubbas game is tailor made for this course. I mean the fairways are very wide and some real short par 4s. With the top crew out of this one I think Bubba is going to do fairly well. The odds make it worth the bet.
Our other attention is on the John Deere Classic. To be honest I don’t have any full bets on this one – nothing really stands out for me.
I have 4 bets all small bets. First up is a half unit bet on Jerry Kelly to win & E/W, then I’m on quarter unit bets on Stricker and Zach Johnson to outright win and then Johnson Wagner to win & E/W.
And unfortunately guys I gotta wrap this up – I started writing this article hours ago and then got sidetracked by some stuff. For CFL go with Eskimos -7, Bombers/Argonauts Over 50, Stampeders -6 and Tiger Cats +3.
